ARGH! Signature HerO move is to move out with his mostly Sentry army.. It seems so risky to me, get nervous every time

That's the way HerO plays. :D It's why his PvZ is some of my favourite.

Hero in general just avoids heavy collosus usage. I love it.

It makes him SO fun to watch. Really gives a glimpse of what the Protoss race could look like without that crutch of a unit.

Reaavuuuu

As much as I hate the Collosus and loved the Reaver in Brood War I still maintain that the Reaver would be overpowered in SC2, now that the game's pathing allows for smart scarabs.

Seriously. The only reason scarabs were ever balanced in SC1 was because you never knew if they were actually going to do what they were supposed to.

Make them smart?! Poor Marines wouldn't stand a chance.

Well, you could make scarabs in SC2 have a 50-60% hit chance. :p

Or you could adjust the damage, or whatever. Nobody is saying they should just copy paste the unit in x_x

Exactly. Remove the luck factor, and balance around them being consistent.

Or make colossi have friendly fire and luck factor aswell. Mohahaha

I feel no such sentiment towards Marines. :p

BRING ON THE REAVERS!

You heartless bastard!

My Protoss heart bares scars from the Darkest Hour, I find it most difficult to look favorably upon Marines. :-D

So basically its two zergs advancing from Round 1. Curious/Miya because its ZvZ and probably Yugi because he plays ZvT. Fucking sad.

To be fair, of the eliminated Zergs, 2-4 (assuming Effort and Roro will be out too) of them are Kespa zergs eliminated by GSL players, so that really doesn't say much about the races. Then theres Coca who lost to the current Code S Champion Seed,
and BBong and Leenock also got 2 of the other current top Protoss opponents too (Squirtle, MC); but even then, they still have a chance to go through. Then theres DRG we just watched, which was pretty close even despite how bad DRG played.

So it's much more of bad luck/mismatches than Zergs doing bad (based on the results of this tournament so far at least)

So what happened to all top Zergs? Isnt Zerg the imba race? Are all of them suddenly in a slump? Coincidence?

What do you mean? 12 Zergs got through the preliminaries for this tournament alone (more than the other 2 races), including current top zergs like Curious, DRG, Coca, Leenock, etc. Sure, it's missing Symbol/Nestea, but you can say for same for Terran missing players like MKP/MMA etc, doesn't really mean much when the preliminaries are Bo3 single elimination.

Too bad it isnt just this tournament. And who cares about prelims, look at round 2.

And my previous reply just explained why Round 2 looks like that; it isn't due to the fact that Zergs are doing bad, it's more of a reason that most of those Zergs are either Kespa Zergs matched against GSL players or Zergs matched against 3 of the current best Protoss, including the current GSL champion (Seed, MC, Squirtle). DRG's game was also close as hell as we just watched, he could of easily won that last game but he threw it away, so it had nothing to do with balance.

This round so far some KESPA zergs are losing (no real surprise honestly) DRG did something that I do not understand and the reigning GSL champion beat someone.

I mean it's a nice thing to think about but the truth is it's a unit that would definitely be difficult to transfer over which is probably why it wasn't in in the first place.

I mean, what would be the point of the Reaver if it didn't do that insane damage on a slow attack rate? That completely defeats the purpose of Prism harass.

50-60% hit chance, that introduces RNG into an e-sport and that's BAD BAD.

Like I said. I loved the unit in BW, but I'm happier keeping my fond memories of it rather than seeing it unsuccessfully introduced to SC2 and ruining its legacy.

Wat..

thanks for the response. i've been watching for the last few days and barely seen zergs win. that is my observation.

Your observation ignores the fact that pretty much every Zerg that's lost had opponents that were favored against them, especially with DRG currently slumping.

i don't get how it ignores that. zergs lost no? that is all. meh. i just want the kespa players to play well and they are not.

Well, your initial post seemed to imply some sort of balance whine about Zergs not winning. My point was simply that it's pretty expected that most of these Zergs won't win because they're all the underdogs in their matches.
