Because he's hoping to catch JonnyRecco doing a greedy build, like straight-up Muta/ling. There's no way to scout in the early game as Protoss. so you just need to do bad builds sometimes to dissuade Zerg from being greedy.

i think the build oz used against stephano at the mlg arena is the future pretty much it allows him to be at a much better competition against zergs economy

currently zerg can saturate 3bases extremely fast and protoss even with relatively fast thirds cannot match that but oz's third seems to be so fast and he somehow does it safely

oz gets a really fast third at a time where zerg cannot really punish it, gets a stargate off it then gets a cannon at the third surrounded by gateways so lings cannot kill the fast third then by the time roaches could come the third is protected by gateway units+voidrays

pretty much oz's build allowed him to safely get 3bases and be at maybe 90% of zergs economy by 13 minutes. while if you were to use any other build youd probably be at 65% of the zergs economy by 13 minutes

It's something from BW where tournaments had four maps and replayed one map once. In our case we have six maps and have two vetos. It leads to a very interesting meta-game within the series where you already faced each other once on that map and then the mindgames start in game five. OR you could just say the truth, ie TSL organizers fucked up big time and removed at the last moment Korhal Compound, being forced to have this pretty bad double-map played in the ace match because there wouldn't have been the time to pick a new map and allow the players to train for it.

The only reason Oz's build works is because no one does Stephano-style roach max anymore.
