Is this guy serious? You like the random ass yelling whenever someone starts a combo, drops a combo, dashes forward....wait, they start yelling FOR ANYTHING. Nothing important happens and they yell! Its the worst crowd ever. Sir, you just exposed your ignorance of fighting games. Consider yourself shamed. Well maybe if the commentators were to say something actually relevent during a match other than "HERE WE GO!" when a combo starts or "AWWW!" when a combo is dropped, then I might be able to learn. There is no intellegence in their play by play. Some commentators do a great job, and honestly if they started doing top level commentary you wouldn't understand anything. Too much technical stuff. The only game that I saw with actual commentary was SFIV. The other two games I watch, KoF and MvC3, were just people yelling. Ah that's really unfortunate Maybe you should give weekly tournaments a try, Big Two, Wednesday Night Fights for example. usually the commentating is up to par.

One day Korean Protosses will stop losing because of trying silly timings vs people they can handle just fine if they play a solid standard 3rd build.

Ret nearly threw that game away multiple times :/

What is Evo 2012? Fighting games. fighting games as in FPS? Not sure if trolling :/ Fighting games as in Street Fighter / Tekken kind of fighters. isnt tekken a casual playstation game? sorry i dont follow other genres No, Tekken is an e-Sport and has been for quite a while. It's fine :p You would be surprised how many games actually have somewhat big tournaments. Halo / Quake / TF2 / Trackmania / Forza / Street Fighter / Tekken / DotA / LoL / BLC / Guitar Hero etc. If the game has a competative nature to it, then there will be tournaments for it. If you played with your friends in a fighting game, then there will be people who take it way further. The biggest fighting games atm are : Super Street Fighter 4 / Marvel vs Capcom 3 / Tekken / King of Fighters 13 / Soul Calibur 5 When they hold a tournament they hold a fighting game tournament in general with no one specific title?
Most tournaments are multi games since most player play on different games in the same tournament. Take as Exemple EVO there was Street fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, King of Fighters, Soul Calibur, Virtua fighter, Mortal Kombat, Street fighter x Tekken and people like Tokido played in Street fighter, marvel, soul calibur and Street fighter x tekken

He had an overseer right on top of it and saw it getting cancelled as well. Not until it was almost done, he was right above it like 10 seconds before the cancel. The casters even pointed out Ret hadn't seen it and was preparing for a two base all-in. What are you talking about? Ret took a fourth and an infestation pit... He wasn't preparing for an all in at all. He was making pure units on low drone count. A 300 mineral hatchery and the infestation pit are not that important, he apparently knew he could hold it off while being that greedy in the first place. If you want to consider two drones, 300 minerals, and whatever the cost of the infestation pit (probably 3 roaches or so + some gas) is "greedy". Are you serious? Every single resource is precious when you're trying to hold a two base all in. He clearly saw the third going up and was preparing for a macro game.
He clearly didn't if you were listening or watching, because his overseer wasn't even in position to see the nexus. And yeah, Ret is so renown for not being exceptionally greedy and often dying to two base all-ins because of it, right?

Exactly. Although MC vs Nerchio was by far the worst example of this.

Ret just has to work on his creep spread. He didnt even connect his first two bases.

soundtrack surprisingly not too bad for a NA event

Great job by ret?
I get that some of you are fans, but seriously that attack was weak the nexus cancel into stalker aggression was never gonna work, he didnt know what to do and where he wanted to fight, he missed the force fields..
Bad infestor control by ret, misrally of the first colossu got it insta killed in a situation where all rets roaches were on like half HP
Congratulations to him for the win, but get real this wasnt good and if it had been MC pulling a perfect timing there it would be no contest, so yeah..

Ret's got that map so down... it's really weird. I feel like I haven't seen him lose a PvZ on that for a while (except there is this 1 game he threw away... can someone remind me? he held off an all-in then got way too aggressive and missed a hidden pylon...)

Liquipedia still says this for some reason:
"DeMusliM beat Ret in a tie-breaker to advance to the finals."

Ret had a overseer over the third nexus, he saw it and saw it cancelled...

WP RET! :D
though I think we have got to the point where there's pretty much no skill difference at the top top level between 2 players, Korean or not.
Anyone can pretty much beat anyone at this level in sc2, unlike in BW. makes it more exciting but at the cost of the game's skill ceiling reduction
