What is Evo 2012? Fighting games. fighting games as in FPS? Not sure if trolling :/ Fighting games as in Street Fighter / Tekken kind of fighters. isnt tekken a casual playstation game? sorry i dont follow other genres No, Tekken is an e-Sport and has been for quite a while. It's fine :p You would be surprised how many games actually have somewhat big tournaments. Halo / Quake / TF2 / Trackmania / Forza / Street Fighter / Tekken / DotA / LoL / BLC / Guitar Hero etc. If the game has a competative nature to it, then there will be tournaments for it. If you played with your friends in a fighting game, then there will be people who take it way further. The biggest fighting games atm are : Super Street Fighter 4 / Marvel vs Capcom 3 / Tekken / King of Fighters 13 / Soul Calibur 5 LoL has a scene ? you cant get any more casual than that... next youll be telling me theres a competitive scene for sitting on the couch watching TV
There is. It's called TL.net

People were complaining they were too loud, then they lowered them way too low and now people are complaining about that.

Is this guy serious? You like the random ass yelling whenever someone starts a combo, drops a combo, dashes forward....wait, they start yelling FOR ANYTHING. Nothing important happens and they yell! Its the worst crowd ever. Sir, you just exposed your ignorance of fighting games. Consider yourself shamed. Well maybe if the commentators were to say something actually relevent during a match other than "HERE WE GO!" when a combo starts or "AWWW!" when a combo is dropped, then I might be able to learn. There is no intellegence in their play by play. Some commentators do a great job, and honestly if they started doing top level commentary you wouldn't understand anything. Too much technical stuff. The only game that I saw with actual commentary was SFIV. The other two games I watch, KoF and MvC3, were just people yelling.

NASL wouldn't be NASL without the NASL sound guy.
I'm doing foley, clanging beer bottles together and making lightsaber noises.

I respect some games, A LOT of skill involved in them and Daigo is a hero, but that guetto approach from the community is really annoying, fo sho fo sho meh.

He was making pure units on low drone count. A 300 mineral hatchery and the infestation pit are not that important, he apparently knew he could hold it off while being that greedy in the first place. If you want to consider two drones, 300 minerals, and whatever the cost of the infestation pit (probably 3 roaches or so + some gas) is "greedy".

the definition of nerd i'm using isnt the one that has to due with playing video games, being interested in technology, stuff like that. of course i fit all those descriptions.... when i threw out the word "nerdy" in realtion to sc2 events i was referring to the social awkwardness of the atmospheres of the events

Damn, and I thought double Fleet Beacon was the new PvZ metagame.
