If you lose, you made a mistake. People need to get over this whole "luck" and "random" argument. There is no luck or randomness in the game. I don't remember having to do dice rolls when I engage in a fight. I don't need to find a four leaf clover for my opponent to gg. You build shit, your opponent builds shit. If you fuck that up, you lose. It's not the game's fault, it's your fault. You didn't play well enough.

as an english-only stream viewer i know i speak for at least a few viewers who feel like this amazing tournament is snubbing foreigners. in no way am i bashing it, or OGN or anything like that. i'm the sc2 generation who loves flashy graphics and english casts (hell, i can speak french and german and don't mind those casts either), great production value and really entertaining casters. i've watched some great sAviOr matches, NaDa, BoxeR and even recent Flash matches and while the games are great i can't stand not being able to understand korean (inb4 lrn korean). i don't watch the matches solely for the amazing gameplay, but to be entertained as a viewer and casters are a crucial part of this, i feel.
you guys who used to watch the BW OSL, this is gonna be right up your alley, it'll be tough as hell and legit. the games (regardless of the format) will be top notch and seriously awesome as I know that is what OGN is known for. you might even know some korean! or at least you're used to it
but for people like me, i'll just read the team liquid LR's and go on my way, not interested in watching korean casts. it's a bit sad, but ah well! i think i am part of the TL minority so *shrugs*
ps - go go Mvp ^_^

Think we should stop discussing here. It will be bo1 and we can't change it. We'll see how it will turn out.

The map pool is average and Bo1's will make this weird, i dunno if we will see the best players make it out or just the best cheese. Still looking forward to it

lol
People complaining about Bo1s were always wrong anyway. Running this format in a complete different game. There is a good reason why GOM moved away from BO1s entirely.
yeah, it was people who had no idea whats going on bitching and whining, until they were forced to change it. OGN cant do it though, since they are TV channel and they have to obey programming structure

Keep in mind OSL formats, it's a bo1.. anyone of those guys can eliminate another with a surprise. Harder to predict haha

Bo1 is bad and good. It provides DIFFERENT opportunities than BO3 +. For example 1 would think that BO1 is based more on luck, maybe yes because of less chances. But cheese or all-in is more of a double edged sword in BO1 than in Bo3 when you can always say "whatever i can risk 1 game".
Generally the best players win BO1 group plays. In last SC2 WCG Bo1 was catogarized as bad and coin-flippy when idra and other fan favorites got kicked and few lesser known players who perfomed very good in groups. Those players were called lucky but iroincally they managed to perform the best in rest of the tournament.
SC2 is esport and should as well be played BO1.

The contrary BO1 compels to safe play and/or more thought out play given the competitors are in same league of skill. People who are way weaker and could risk their tournament life for total coinflip (because they know they will never win "in a real battle") are generally weeded out in preliminaries
