... Yeah because the fact that OGN has been running this format for a decade means nothing.

lol

People complaining about Bo1s were always wrong anyway.

Someone at OGN must really hate good gsl zerg players.

...
Ohana:
TvZ: 44-40 (52.4%) [ Games ]
ZvP: 38-41 (48.1%) [ Games ]
PvT: 40-38 (51.3%) [ Games ]

Antiga:
TvZ: 84-79 (51.5%) [ Games ]
ZvP: 61-50 (55%) [ Games ]
PvT: 73-77 (48.7%) [ Games ]

Entombed:
TvZ: 34-49 (41%) [ Games ] (this really surprised me, I actually did think it would be a terran map too lol)
ZvP: 49-51 (49%) [ Games ]
PvT: 55-67 (45.1%) [ Games ]

Poor zerg indeed.

so this is mean GSL and Kespa players will be play 2 separate tournaments?
or they will be mix just in playoffs, what's about that?

ok thanks

don't find any info about that, but you probably have right. Maybe it's good decision, Kepsa players got more time to prepare against GSL monsters

I disagree.
Tradition is not a valid excuse for having a poor format....(or most anything in life for that matter).
GSL's current group system is better because it cuts out all the random shit that occurs in a best of one.

not sure that it's so much tradition - it has worked for ten years. no reason why it shouldn't now =]

Well things work, but doesn't mean there isn't something better out there.

Horses work as a mode of travel for thousands of years.
It wasn't until the 20th century that the world switched to cars simply because it is better.

or players would have to prepare thrice as much to avoid those random shit (or you mean, in other words, cheese?). Yeah, if there was so much "random shit" in the OSL, would dominant players exist after all? Would Flash/JangBang/fanta make to tving semis?
better player will have bettter preparation (look at mvp last GSL). If you have 2 weeks in advance to prepare for two bo1s and still lose, then you suck
And Im not mentioning about things like timeslot, programs schedule etc which a cable tv station like OGN has to consider

BW and SC2 are different games. The better player was usually able to win more often because as the game went on, despite any build order disadvantages or blind counters, the higher skillcap meant that better players usually still came out in the end.

In SC2 you could lose a game in some matchups just from a build order loss, which is why Bo3 is usually preferrable.

It is not a poor format. Bo1 groups was fair in BW and always worked fine.

OGN still dont know well SC2 and that it is a game based 50% in Luck...

Poor zerg indeed.

Seems like OGN picked the most balanced maps for the most part, although the Entombed win/rate for TvZ also really surprised me. TvZ winrate on Antiga is dropping quite consistantly of late.

50% luck with 3 people winning 9 GSLs. Okay.

Edit: grammar.

Yeah I don't agree with the 50% Luck but Bo1s have no place in SC2.

How many of those GSLs have Bo1s? Not many. Which is the point of this conversation.

Bo1s in SC2 is absolutely horrible.
