I'm really sad that this is that close and yet there's still no sign of English commentary.

Their main audience is Korea. A TV channel get more viewers that a internet stream. But I guess they will get english casters soon (I personally dont care, If casters are not Artosis/Tastelees I prefer korean casters to the other ones).

Except that the foreign audience tends to pay money. Clearly Gom makes the foreign audience a big part of their business and it seems to be going well. And when they announced with Blizzard that they were switching to SC2, they promised English commentary. Obviously Korea is more important to them, but it's not that hard to call up a couple English commentators and offer them jobs. Even if they didn't have completely separate production with English graphics and everything, just having a stream with the English commentary (not talking over Korean commentary) would be huge.

Poor zerg indeed.

That's korea only. If you take all the major tournaments world-wide, you get these:

ESportsTV broadcasts via YoutubeLive. And here is a link to the problem:

This is the OSL, it's the least forgiving tournament, most of Gomtv/GSL's formats came from the OSL, please don't mix up the origin. Hell MSL with its same format has had a group like this:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=213263
Saying that "it's so easy to lose one game in SC2" just means that players aren't preparing to the same level of intensity as BW with mind games and strategies for that one singular game, with every stake on the line for the chance to get into the Bo>=3 series' in the Ro16. The fact that the format is so punishing is a part of what made the league so exciting to watch, if anything if the better player can't win in a Bo1 speaks that there's flaws with the strategies that they've prepared, not that the format is flawed, and using this logic doesn't all of GSTL get invalidated?

looks very balanced, save for Z>P on antiga and Z>T on entombed. if anything that's sliigghttlyyy zerg favoured haha.
Although patch probably throws it off a bit (and maybe Zerg should be even MORE favoured ;D).
Glad that Metropolis, Atlantis, etc aren't in this.

If you put Polt in Group B instead of DRG, all four of my favorite players would be facing off.

Hoping ManZenith can destroy everyone since the other three have Code S finals to worry about.

People complaining about Bo1s were always wrong anyway.

I do agree tradition is a great thing. I do agree with Neo, Bo1 is kind of crazy in the state of Starcraft II.

I just think in my personal opinion to take out some of the randomness would be best for the game to have bo3. We will see how people react to the bo1 series in group play. ZvZ will be super intense. (6 pool for the win)

And if it turns out that the traditional format used for BW doesn't quite work as well for SC2 you can always just say "well SC2 is just a bad game, can't be helped" amarite? -_-

Just saying, I guess I'm just as curious as everyone else.

I didn't think this was so soon...that's odd. kespa qualifiers aren't even scheduled yet and they are doing the sc2 players dual tournament?

If you want a bo3 watch the GSL. I for one can't wait for this OSL. Reminds me of the NCAA basketball tourney. Always epic.
