Yeah, or bomber vs freaky. Both of them better than the overhyped mvp squirtle.

On a smaller map DRG would have won 30 minutes ago because Ryung couldnt have outmaneuvered his Broodlords the way he did. The map made such an enormous difference, which isn't to take anything away from how Ryung played, but that game was one in a million, you can't compare it to the standard meta game.

Ryung couldn't do any damage to DRG till it got to the late game but he just really played really well overall, and DRG got a bit clumsy with his defense and unit control (losing a lot of high value units needlessly) DRG blew it when he decided to attack with his army into ryungs base. He spread his entire army out all over the place. He then switched into blords and lost all his map control

(infestors, ghosts, medivacs, tanks rallied/move command into their deaths). But cool game ![]() It's more a counter of the unit comp, Ryung did it right to counter such a heavy BL/Corruptor/Infestor comp. If there were some lings and ultras, they could hold off the small groups of bio running around trying to snipe hatches - but DRG didn't really go for that. Just going heavy slow moving army on a map that big was the cause of his own downfall. But Ryung took full advantage of it.

Last 30 minutes Ryung was all over the map and trying to figure out how to widdle down Zerg while Zerg was sitting with his ultimative army... -_- Telling Terrans to stop whine after that, ridiculous. Also usually Terrans can't have all expansions as easy as that. DRG could have burrowed lings there, could have destroyed a PF with banelings when he still had the bank but decided to take bad fights... and in the end lose. Not to mention DRG played pretty badly that game. Good but not the same quality as ryung was dishing out. So many things that he just didn't do, fungaling ravens, running infestors into other units on an attack-command, no spines at expos when he had enough resources leaving them naked, overmaking like 20 more corruptors than he needed, losing his tech structure and not remaking them till he lost all the units. Lots and lots of errors but ryung still played amazing, so passive and patient.

If DRG wasted 30 bane supply at lair stage to kill a PF vs a Ryung who looked to take every opportunity to push, what do you think it would have happened? Turtle in ultra mode. Go berzerk in Blord mode. How the hell could DRG have done anything when he made broodlords? How the hell could have he won if he did not make it? PF means you have to sac a good amount of lings/blings to kill it, even if there is no army stationed there. That leaves you really vulnerable to either counter attacks, double drops or both at the same time. Huge maps do not favour zergs. Medium ones do.
