Please stop praising TaeJa so much. I love TaeJa too but that wasn't his victory Oh right I guess he's 18-2 because 18 of his opponents have been choking most of the time. Your cynicism is astounding. Do you have a reading comprehension problem? "that game" Yes, and you don't believe any hype or pressure has any impact on a game before it is played? Choking is also about the player and who he is playing...

Taeja microed his army perfectly the entire game.
Vikings on hold position either above bunkers or above dead space. Repeatedly stims when they aren't actually engaging and when he doesn't have enough medivacs to recover the health. Sits army behind his third base. None of those things are "perfect" micro. The only impressive micro he did all game was the marauder lift at the end and that was pretty much just showboating.
The game was massively disappointing because the player who was ahead all game suddenly ended up not ahead because the other guy attacked in to him and there was nothing he could do about it.

Yeah, lifting the marauder against the colossi, the amazing spread, the insanely good focus firing on archons, that must be encompassed in "Stim a-move".

Unrelated: Farrah just won the 5000m (aswell as the 10000m) on home turf, first ever. Boss.

This. Props to Taeja for keeping focused, but Yonghwa lost that game more than Taeja won it. I don't think he lost the game, but he handed his lead back. Taeja was dead at multiple points. But they were certainly on relatively even footing when Taeja won that game. It was more Taeja messing up early game, Yonghwa messing up midgame, then Tajea excelling lategame. You have to remember yonghwa didn't only play badly - he got himself a lead somehow, but he just couldn't maintain it. As bad as that is, it does mean he played well enough to get the lead in the first place. But Taeja is Taeja. :D There were like 3 points where Yonghwa could have actually a-moved and won the game. He lost because he didn't get Storm until way too late and didn't press his advantage when he had it. Then he lost one engagement because he didn't transition and wasted his bank on cannons. It was entirely Yonghwa's loss. Taeja has by far the best TvP in the world, but pretty much any Terran could win with mass Viking against no Templar.
Yeah I know he was missing out on storm a bit, but he had it in the last engagement, just templar weren't in position. And he was missing a colossi or two in the fight. After seeing comments pointing out that, Yonghwa did screw up pretty badly

YongHwa was correct to play defensive. That's how you play perfect PvT.
His mistake, was failing the Storm transition.

WHAT THE FUCK TAEJA ? Seriously, how did he even came back from this ? I just see the lack of storm at the end, and eventually an insane micro, but still....
Congratz ! ^_^
People like to bash on casters a lot but one thing they did say that was completely true was about positioning. YongHwa lost 2 colossi for free before actually engaging in the deciding battle.

first of all... wtf... if the toss simply a-moved in the final battle he would have won considering 30 extra zealots from his massive bank would warpin and join the fight soon... he backed off as vikings sniped collossi... wtf...
i mean taeja is the best but im not as "omg omg giddly" as everyone here im mostly just thinking wtf how can a toss player be so clueless he spent 2000 minerals in cannons right before the final battle then runs away when a-moving and warping in zealots would have let him win
taeja is impressive im not talking him down... just sayin that last game was no reason to drop your jaws
I think Yonghwa had a good chance of winning earlier, but he played safe because in general PvT is very favored for Protoss late game; definitely with that advantage.
Taeja just has incredible late game engagements and positioning.

Taeja has a better version of the HuK factor. Whenever a player has a winning position against him, they inexplicably drop the ball.

This is unfair to say. Yes YongHwa choked, but he didn't choke through his own will. He choked because Taeja MADE him choke.
When Taeja was about to lose his third, he managed to delay like a god. Like, positioning vikings so Young would have to move back for a couple seconds, than moving marines/maruders forward, lifting his cc to threaten a huge push, like Taeja managed to force so many moments where his opponets can make mistakes.
Yes Youngwha choked, but don't take credit away from Taeja. Taeja did exactly everything he needed to to win that game.
