Despite the point this was referring to, the only thing I focused on was how Hyun keeps making it further and further in every tournament, even beating Hero, and how Nestea keeps losing ZvZs.

WTF? how didn't leenock beat ryung or taeja.
|
Leenock nnnooooo! D: I am a sad panda today.

Wow terran only has 7 in the round of 16. They are so underpowered!
|
I hate GSL terrans, somehow they always manage to win just enough so that their race will continually get nerfed or have other races buffed.
|
LOL HOLY SHIT!
RYUNG 2-0'd BOTH
WOW
HOLY SHIT SO DID TAEJA XD

Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that MVP is the chosen one. The one who will bring balance to the Force. It just didn't happen in the way you expected because Terran, very much like the Jedi, were too strong.

Is there anyone who can do the LR for tonight's GSTL? I might be too busy.

Huh. Essentially 50% advancement for every race. Didn't expect that.

People shouldn't be looking at the GSL's race distribution for balance. At this point in time, there are so many great terran players than toss or zerg players. Everyone (maybe except imo Keen) in this Ro16 are completely qualified: they can understandably be called the top 16 players in the world. I could see the 4 zerg players all advancing to the Ro8...does that mean zerg imba all of the sudden? lol. The race doesn't win games for them; their play does.

RYUNGGGGGGGGGGGGG YEAH HHHHHHHHHH FINALLY OVERCOMING THE SHADOWS OF MMA

So good to see TaeJa advanced. Surprised about Ryung, seems like the recent MLG did really help him mentally.

Go Ryung and Taeja! Leenock played as poorly as I have ever seen him play. Like he had his own opinion on the metagame and wanted to prove it to everyone, instead of proving how well it worked he proved that the metagame exists for a reason. Your viewpoint echoes that of Nazgul and that's not the reason why Leenock lost. The patch didn't do anything other than buff zerg. So, if Leenock was doing well pre-patch, he can just play the same way and do even better. Indeed, what happened during the games was that he got leads but blew it.
For example, in game1 against Taeja, Leenock practically had the game won. He then went into "overconfidence and relax" mode. The proof of this is that he morphed banelings in the 3rd base of Taeja, right under his face. When Taeja started holding and slowly came back, Leenock's mindset was broken. In game2, you can see his state of mind as he made many mistakes like running mutas into marines. Leenock showed that his overconfidence in the past had affected him - e.g. that series against LiveForever.
The GSL has shown time and time again that if you relax too much, even from an "unloseable" position, you will get punished.
