Stephano? None of the players left are favoured against Stephano. Hell, I doubt Stephano will lose a match in his group, and it's a pretty stacked group for this tournament.

Nerchio is favored against Stephano - ZvZ is Stephano's weakest MU and Nerchio's best.

HerO is favored too. I don't think Stephano has beaten him in a Bo3.

The rest, they're not favored, but they're not incapable of winning vs. Stephano. Keen is a dangerous foe because of who he practices TvZ with.

nerchio has a losing record against stephano at LAN events

Their record at LAN events is 0-0.

when stephano was in korea and play that championship thing he beat hero 2-0 right?

You mean when Hero was notably playing the worst SCII of his entire career. Yeah, he lost to everybody there. He went Nexus first in PvP and tried to secure watchtowers with cannons. Also cannon rushed after pool was done.
So... yeah. I wouldn't fall back on that stat.

Vampire was through anyway. He would've been tied 4-4 with Cytoplasm on map score, but won head to head.

No, he is 1-2 in series, Cyto beat Fraer and is 2-1. Both foreigners advance.

Woaw, was I off base. I was sure Cyto was 1-2 for some reason.

Eh? Nerchio would be favoured against Stephano, but Nerchio's PvZ is too weak to overcome this amount of protoss left.

Just got back and holy shit Fraer and Cytoplasm knocking out two koreans including Puma. Dreamhack always revives my hope in the EU scene.

Also its looking like this could be a good tournament for Protoss.

so a loss doesn't count when someone is playing the worst sc2 of their career?

Are they finishing the tournament today? Seems impossible to finish before 3 am or so....

Edit: Oh, on liquipedia, I see 18th as end date... so why finish on monday? Only groupstage 3 today?

The only Protoss favoured against Stephano at the moment is MC, and that's by a very, very small margin. Given how easily Stephano swept away Squirtle and Parting, I don't see Hero winning at all.

I can see ZvZ going in favour of Nerchio, I'll concede that, but I wouldn't say Nerchio is favoured. He lost to Naugrim 0-2 in this tournament, and Stephano is much better at ZvZ than he used to be, even with the loss to Ziktomini.

Keen isn't as good as other Code S players that Stephano has beaten recently, I don't see that going to Keen, especially with ZvT being the way it is atm.

Hero beat Stephano while he forgot warpgate. That was in a teamleague ace match too. And it was their most recent series.

Hero also has better PvZ than both Squirtle and Parting.

Your giving Nerchio too much credit, he always says he will lose to Stephano. He wins in ladder games but not where it counts, he even said it himself. I think their ZvZ is pretty even from a viewers standpoint.

rofl please stop with this again, it's not because nerchio won 4 zvz in a row on the ladder against stephano one day that he will be always favoured against stephano, stephano is clearly favoured, but i have to admit that it's still a zvz, so ...
