I know it didn't seem very energetic from the live stream, but neither did some of the other MLGs when you watched them.

Go and watch a fan uploaded video like Boxer beating Rain though, and tell me the noise and hype was anything like we heard on the livestream.

tl;dr: it probably sounded a lot louder in the venue.

lol and on a saturday night.

We've all been at the venue since 10 this morning. Watching games all day. Playing HotS during downtime. I was tired. Everyone around me was tired. I talked to day9 briefly in the hotel lobby and he looked and sounded like he was about to fall over. It's been a long day. The crowd ran out of gas at the end.

So, I'm thinking about MLG/Kespa some more, and I'm realizing a brilliant thing that I hadn't thought of before. Brilliant for MLG that is. Ok, so viewership records were just shat on apparently because of these Kespa guys playing an exhibition tournament. There was just so much hype around it. Thats so fucking smart. Why you ask? Because now they get to hype the shit out of these Kespa guys when they enter the real MLG tournament and break the records again.

the kespa guys not being good enough at sc2 yet just got MLG some more sick viewership for their next event (assuming they are in the real tournament and not just an exhibition). I'm not even an Idra fanboy and I realize he is struggling, but he is massively popular. Can you imagine Idra vs Flash/Bisu/Jaedong at MLG?! People would be jizzing everywhere!

The kespa guys will still have that "first" experience that people love to watch (ie first sc2 proleague games, first sc2 games outside of korea). Damn, that was smart. Not sure if it was intentional, but it sure was smart.

Die down on the competitive scene I mean. No one will want to sponsor something no one watches.

Talk with ya soon after The International 2, when they release numbers of stream watchers... in millions.

sc2 = tennis
dota 2 = american football

So SC2 = game watched by people around the world.
DotA 2 = game watched only by American

Dota is watched by more people worldwide than sc2.

lulz give flash and co 1-2months and say hello to your new 12year rivalry. The games were awesome the little things were just awesome hiding lings, spoting pylons when they warp,HIDDEN SPIRE,God, morphing ovs just right when the obs pops, mad surronds, the fastest lair ever seen,ABSOLUTE BEAST probe scout from Bisu active all the time and many more stuff.

Those are the people that i love to watch and the things i love to watch and i hope my predictions don't come true but if today guys that play the game like SK.NeVeR)ever(expand don't start to clean their things like mechanics, understanding and timings they will die and will be forgotten. I'm so pumped and so hyped about this did you guys see their macro the upgrade timings from Flash the game on valley were CS,Shields,+2/+1 all were together and the ghosts on Daybreak vs Stork and all those are by feel and by understanding nothing more imagine if they go in to the deep water what can be achived.

This MLG was gonna be complete waste for me except maybe 2-3 series but the KeSPA thing saved the day for me i won't be able to watch the last day but the TLBS were just amazing. Sad about Fantasy but he always was the guy who came up with ready builds practiced for infinity hours so its normal to see him go out 2:0.

yeah, with anaheim especially, the sc2 crowd is huge, not sure how they have the crowd mic'd up, but since its so spread out, it could be harder to capture.

Flash in those interviews looked like he wants to participate at the next MLG in the main SC2 tournament and not an exhibition. Would be so sick.

Hope iam not getting a warning lol, just want to clear this^^.

The guy was joking, because the other guy made the comparasion tennis=sc2 and american football= dota...what makes no sense, because very few people outside of the us care for american football. So he made a slightly sarcastic remark, with a hidden jab at american football.

He basicly said the same as u guys, that dota > sc2 in form of players etc..

Why are fanboys in TL so much more annoying than anywhere else?

Not even fanboys in Fomos, THE sanctuary for BW elitists in Korea, are claiming Flash is ready for Code S. The most fanatic ones are suggesting he might go far in Code A.

Maybe if some of you guys actually bothered to watch GSL, you would know that what we just saw, except for maybe Flash vs Soulkey, is right where it was supposed to look like in the first place: nowhere near what current SC2 pros have brought up to.

It was true for most of 2011 that only Code S was truly worth watching, but nowadays? Try GSTL with hordes of Code B/A players. The quality of games nowadays is somewhere between insane and mind-blowing awesome.

If you gotta praise something do so on his amazing growth rate, because this is true: between his debut in Proleague and today's games, something out of this world happened. I can't even fathom how he did it. This is beyond unbelievable, and people who actually watched both games will surely agree with me.

Code S? This is not January 2011, sorry.

EDIT: It was too good to be true. Just saw "Flash conquered SC2 too lol" post in Fomos. But my point stands: annoying fans are annoying

It'd be more like stephano vs. Flash that'd be huge. Nothing will ever be bigger than the first time nada vs. boxer happened though.
