DotA 2 = game watched only by American DOTA is be a game watched by the Chinese. LoL is a game watched by the Americans. Yeah, that's why I think the first comparison is very weird. There's no doubt that DotA is gonna be really really big though. It might be the game most played in SEA and China.

Man that crowd sucks. It's 1 am there and they've been there all day, cut them some slack. Its 4AM here and I made more noise in front of my computer. Even Tasteless is begging them to do something. They're horrible. Spend 20 bucks to go to an event and you're screwing yourselves when you're not making it as epic as it could be. Imagine a great crowd, that moment could be something we remember ala Thorzain and Dreamhack, and you could say you were there and a part of it. Now, what? Crappy crowd and a moment that is forgotten. Pretty nice to whine from comfort of your home while those people probably watched 10 hours of SC2 before that final game. Is it so exhausting and mind numbing to watch SC2 from a chair? Am I being unreasonable for them to actually try and make that moment something special? Have you ever been to a day long concert? It's not like people can't cheer after 8 hours of being awake. They're just lame. :/ being at an MLG is fucking exhausting, you spend most of the time walking around the huuuuge venue watching games (standing room), getting free unlimited dr pepper, visiting the sponsor sections, and so on. plus anyone is going to be tired after being awake for 15-16 hours, most of it in a high energy public venue. if you've never been to one you have zero perspective on what it's like, utterly useless this is true i was at the last mlg anaheim from around 9am to 1am on saturday its really exhausting I've been to 3 day concerts where the same shit happens including ridiculously loud music and tons of beer and hangovers. I understand we're all nerds here but if you think a MLG is exhausting enough that cheering is impossible you really have not experienced enough in your life. wow you are the fucking man. is that what you want to hear? People are calling me out for not attending an MLG and I get shit on because I want to provide some credibility to my argument? gtfo please No, you gtfo because you started this whole "the crowd's shit, i've been through so much more" business. You're comparing two different things. Anyways, this discussion is over. /tangent.

Is it wrong that I kinda wish the kespa tourney had been double elimination ( spread over 2 days and fuck extended series) just becuase I wanted to see everyone play more than one match? I mean yeah I'm hyped over the matches we got and pleased with how it all turned out but I feel like there could have been even more awesomeness to enjoy.

I wish it was double elimination too, but only if it was held much earlier in the day =P

Well back on topic, all things said and done - I think the Kespa games were still quite entertaining - in time I would think some of them might become really good. I enjoyed them, despite the utterly awful ending match.
I still can NOT BELIEVE how good the MLG quality is - the low definition is about 75% as good as HD GOM, the multiple streams and FPS view is mind boggling, honestly - GSL needs to up the ante on playback, big time.
