I'm not a qxc fanboy. If I was a fanboy, he would be in my signature. Sign of someone who can't come up with any decent rebuttals is someone who just says "LOL LOOK AT FANBOYS! THEY DISAGREE WITH MY UNINFORMED OPINION SO THEY MUST BE RABID FANBOYS!"
I'm simply calling you out on your utter idiocy. You have yet to form a coherent argument for why you think qxc is a bad player. Using his 1-5 record, especially when half of that was played when he hadn't been committing to the game for months, is not a good example.

A poll won't settle this because most people check this thread for results and don't read the posts. Plus there's also the high possibility for troll votes (much like the people who vote "No." in recommended games after insanely good games. Like 900 votes for yes, 20 for no.)

Jinro, how can you be 0 and 6? Its so epically sad. From your play early in the season you looked pretty strong. I'm hoping the new team house atmosphere will suit you and so you'll come back strong soon.
What? qxc might not be a Marine King Prime, but he's pretty solid, he had a great run recently for Col in TAC3. I think he beats Jinro fairly easily. MC, Puzzle & Polt for the other 3.
I think it's up to the rest of the division to decide if he makes it to the finals, I don't think he can beat MC next week so he's gonna be down to around 5-3 next week. Although I don't think it's possible for him to reach top 2 at this point unfortunately. Does actual division score affect the wildcard playoffs or whatever it is this season?

Yep, top 2 from the open bracket get something, and it isn't a direct seed. That alone shows something has changed.
really? I kind of dug the old format where top 2 got a playoff spot guaranteed and then the 4 below them battled for a seed. Worked out pretty well but if they feel like they have something better than I'm all for it. Should be some good games tonight!!

He either needs to take a break or just straight out retire.
EVERY series except for the last one was a 2-1 loss. Even against MC. So while qxc technically is ahead in the standings, Jinro actually has a higher win % per game. That doesnt justify Jinro as deserving the place above qxc in the standings, but it should show that he isnt necessarily as bad as his score shows.
Aww Sheth vs MC first probably means that it's not an exciting 3-game series (or even not that exciting at all)? not sure whether NASL still moves the best series to last though
Stephano is the best ZvPer outside of Korea, and undoubtedly one of the best overall. He goes for the same build in ZvP and has great success. Tell me why don't players like Seth and Idra simply copy his build? It seems really strong.
I'm no good with SC metagame/theory, but maybe it's because their macro simply isn't as good? Foreigners besides Stephano do use his general strategy/build on occasion though, just not as much as he does.

Stephano wins because of crazy good game sense. If the only reason he won is because he had good builds, all zergs would do it.

He's talking about the Open Bracket. The top 2 from each group still goes to the finals. But the open bracket winners go to the wildcard round where they play against the middle finishers in group play. I like that format better. Don't let an open bracket winner win one weekend online qualifier to bypass everyone who played 9 weeks of group play.

Indeed, he has it all basically. His game sense is impeccable, his macro is superb and he actually micros his units, which zergs don't do nearly enough.

stephano does the same 'build' every game, which is basically an opening from which he reacts very well to the various protoss openings. Stephano is the best because he reads and reacts the best, the challenge of zvp is that if you don't react perfectly to any 2base play you die immediately, and if you overreact to anything you end up maxed on roaches without having a chance to tech to broods.

It's not hard to max out on Roaches at 12-13 minutes if you aren't pressured much. MC took a risk taking a third off 1 Stargate and 3 Gateways and Sheth just let him take it and hit that Colossus timing that he loves so much. Couple that with really late Broods and over-droning and you just have bad decision-making from Sheth.

I hear ya, but I still think his build is superior to most builds Zergs seem to use. I don't watch SC2 nearly enough to speak anything more than my own opinion, but this build seems really robust and seems to give the zerg control and the ability to dictate the game.
Ah I see :/ and well yeah obviously it was mostly Sheth's suboptimal play/lack of pressure that lost him that game ><

Well rather if he had not played risky and brought his zlings back rather than trying to force the nexus cancel. That were like 8-10 lings up there(or I'm reading anyway, if he had made fewer drones, if you meant, if he had those lings then nvm ).

Well its not that easy to become one of the best players but i guess you go to Korea with the hopes to improve, some ppl stay for a few months some stay for year(s) and you SHOULD improve why else would you go there?. You will most likely attend less tournaments with going to Korea unless your team has insane amount of money and can send you everyone they want. It might also be that ppl lose their motivation when they dont get better while being in Korea and they start slacking / focuses on other things then playing. wall of text ends.

They didn't tell you ahead of time the previous seasons (when they did know ahead of time), which is why I stopped watching them all together. At least they have a good reason for not doing so now.
Ye, NASL has done the best it could with scheduling failures on the part of the players, but this component of live matches is just unavoidable, I guess. MC is so boss as always, so fun to listen to his interviews ^^

NASL dont' force the players to play live, plenty of the games are from Replays, Idra vs Ret is a replay which is why it's easy to move it up the schedule rather than forcing the players scheduled to play live later in to show up early.
They already stated and I posted this thread that White Ra and Polt is postponed because White Ra couldn't log into the NA server for some reason.

Also it'd be just terrible imo to complain about them doing MUs live(and therefore taking a hit when things go south), when that was I'd probably say the 2nd biggest improvement this season from the others.

Jinro is probably possessed of some laziness that prevents him being a truly strong player. The talent is there. It's just something holding him back. If Jinro adopted the Korean back-breaking work ethic evinced by some Starcraft pros (Jaedong being one), I'm sure we'd start to see the results you'd expect from a player of his potential

I guess. I don't think anyone would blame qxc though if he was busy or didn't want to play in this case. Idra and Ret had the same problem yesterday and agreed to play the games later so we could enjoy them.

White Ra had a problem logging in to NA servers so the game was postponed, Jinro slept in so qxc got a walk over win. They aren't too active updating the first post.

They haven't said anything despite people asking in every thread.
That sounds pretty weird/stupid.. so they will randomly decide who will advance?! -__-
They must have a plan already, why they aren't telling us the plan is beyond me.
Or, maybe they are just making it up as they go.
I was bugging them on chat about it, sounds like there are a few things left to finalize. but we should know the exact format very soon.
That's the problem actually. The final results are nearly there and still no rules/format on whose advancing means they will make up rules (accordingly to the final results) to make ppl with big fanbase advance, even he performed poorly the whole season. Just throwing out one of many possible scenarios.. it just doesnt feel fair to me.
Idea for the next NASL Season (if its still alive): Buy 50 alarmclocks and hand them in packs-of-two to all those players who overslept. --> 1. Set alarm on the mobile phone, put it near bed 2. Set Alarm 5 min later on NASL Clock#1, corner of the room 3. Set Alarm 10 min later on NASL Clock#2, opposite corner
(i tried this setup on my first uni year, it works till like 2 promille of blood alcohol/ or >3h sleep)

If you're anything like me you learn to deal with any alarm-tactics in your sleep after a few goes. I don't sleepwalk but you can be damn sure that when I put the alarm in the opposite end of the room, I learn to sleepwalk my ass over there to kill off the alarm and go back to sleep. Even through selfmade booby trapped obstacle courses. My sleepy alter ego is amazing at developing skills like that. True story.
I have to completely overhaul my alarm-tactics at least once a month to keep one step ahead of myself.
