If the two korean players are Smix's height, they're pretty short, and I'm pretty sure Wheat is a decent height himself, maybe 5'10" or 6' Am I too scandinavian for saying 6' is not really tall at all? I'm 6'6" and tons of friends (and my brother) are still taller than me

I guess Protoss is going to get a buff soon then. How the hell do you best that??

It just seemed like his army was helpless and there was a good 5 minute window where MC has a huge blink stalker army complimented by immortal/colossus or more blink stalkers, which crushes any non BL army. However, I saw no way Stephano could get BLords in time, and so he would have to mega turtle to not die. But against someone like MC, that wouldn't put you in an advantageous position at all and his 4th would have surely gone down. Any Zerg players want to chip in? The match up swings wildly over the course of a game and you're essentially picking up on it with what you said. If the Zerg survives to get out the roach pressure it's usually their chance to get ahead. It used to be their chance to outright win the game, but Protoss players have adapted sufficiently to rarely die from that push these days. If that pressure fails, there's a huge window where Protoss can build up an unkillable army and walk over the Zerg with very little the Zerg can do about it unless they can somehow snipe the third. You may be able to rush to Broodlord tech fast enough, but you certainly wont get enough BL's and Infestors out to stop a mass blink stalker army and that's where many Zergs end up dying. Surviving this moment then throws the match up into an often map dependent coin flippy role reversal. Now Protoss has all the mobility and expanding advantages and Zerg has the big slow deathball. Depending on tactics used and a bit of luck it can absolutely go either way, although personally I feel blink stalkers + mass recall and ignoring a big engagement is the most favourable choice, unless you get super fortunate with a big vortex play.

Tournaments like this are so much different than GSL because no one is preparing for Stephano. I really think he competed in the GSL he would be demolished down to Code B almost immediately. Making comments like that is pretty ignorant. Until Stephano plays in GSL you wont know if these results will translate over. He is VERY good. I'm not even a huge Stephano fan but anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves.

We thank you for your nuanced "honest" opinion. I will let GomTV know that you already know the result if Stephano is offered a Code S spot so they don't waste our time.

Star gate gives you access to void rays and phoenixes, which gives you map control because Zerg has no units that shoot up except queens that have to be in their base injecting, and when the Zerg is moving out with his overlords you're able to catch them and kill a lot of them before they're able to drop. Then, with immortals and stalkers you're able to hold. The trick, though, is to slow down the Zerg's timing. 11:10 maxes are not hold-able, 12:10 maxes are.
