Stephano is now where idra was 8 months ago. Only better. Do you mean back in beta? When we was the last hope against koreans. People !!!! what are you talking about ???????????? There is a huge difference between steph an idra, the frenchman never cries about imbalance or anything like this, when he loses he put himself in question, admitting his opponent was stronger. His mental is 100 times stronger, he is not afraid to lose. He has the right mindset for a foreigner. Idra spend more time crying then training.... Please don't compare Not comparing the players but what they represent. In the past idra was the foreign hope. Well stephano is not a hope anymore he has proved enough, he is a reality , he is THE BEST foreigner ever in sc2 . Idra ... ya he was hope... hopeless Naniwa?
Who is Naniwa ? a LoL player ?

There are 2 main ZvP builds that DRG does, one is a mass roach style similar to stephano, trying to overrun the protoss on 3 base. The other is the fast broodlord style you saw in game 2. Metropolis is a fairly good map for the broodlord style, because it's easy to defend all your bases with mass spines, so MC knew DRG had a high chance of doing that build.
In game 3, MC made it look like he was going an immortal expand like he did in game 2 by hiding colossi and showing one immortal. DRG assumed MC could hold a roach pressure, with the immortal expand, so he went for fast broods. He "knew" he couldn't be punished, because siege units like colossi wouldn't be coming anytime soon and he could just hide behind a bunch of spines. If he had indeed done the roach aggression, he would have had a really really good chance of breaking MC.
However, MC hid the robo bay/colossi, chornoing 3 colossi and following up with a warp prism. He didn't add a twilight and essentially did a 3 base colossi all-in push at 13:30, when he knew the standard bl timing is 15:00. Except this wasn't risky; MC pretty much knew had a 100% chance of winning as soon as he scouted the infestation pit and hive. I do enjoy reading posts like this, giving more insight into the mindgames. More of these please everyone, less 'omg unit x is broken' after every game
Was watching that game from MC's view, was a thing of beauty seeing his splitting vs the fungals, blinking onto the high ground for better concaving etc.

This Leenock-Dream series deserves to be on one of the non-POV streams...that last game was one of the most epic ZvT's I've ever seen...where the fuck did this Dream kid come from?

Korea. Which is why he's good.

Grubby seems to have a huge mental block against Stephano. Anyone who watches his stream should probably have inferred that.
Still rooting for Grubby its amazing how much he has advanced from being the only one who lost against Artosis in the NASL to being one of the top foreigners.

Stephano so good, handles 2 rax with 5 scvs like it's 1 rax
|
Stephano has the best 11/11 defense This was amazing. Split the drones an assign 3 to the building scv, push the rest back, and during that spine and queen.

He also said at the time of IPL3 that he was scared of the colossus, the mothership and pretty much every protoss unit in the game. People tend to forget that .

That got denied as hard as it gets.

Not a cheese , just early pressure

brilliant hold by stephano. it looked as if he pulled too many drones, but now look where he is at!

Stephano is just stupidly talented..
