Hello everyone! IGN Pro League is thrilled to bring you more of our newest tournament! The Ye Olde Map Tournament features some of the most amazing maps ever created by Blizzard and has a lineup of some of the best players in all of North America! This tournament is meant to be a fun throwback to the early days of StarCraft II and may serve as a way for us to see how far the strategy and skill have progressed since the first time players set foot on Scrap Station or Kulas Ravine. If you're a fan of nostalgia, not-so-balanced maps, and some fun StarCraft games, you better not miss this! Oh, and these games will be played LIVE for your entertainment. =)
We are continuing with the two semi-final matches for the IGN Pro League Ye Olde Map Tournament
When: Friday, May 11 12:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also have a European re-broadcast as usual at Friday, May 11 5:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00))
Format
This single-elimination tournament features 16 players from the North America server and is a best of 5 format. These matches are being played for the semi-finals. The winning player will move on to the finals and the loser will be eliminated entirely! Keep in mind that each round increases the prize money!

Feels hard to bet against qxc in this context but I'm gonna go with Violet anyway. Looking forward to that series.
Violet and illusion.

2 foriegnor Terrans against 2 Korean zergs? I think we finally found a way to level the playing field - reintroduce Steppes of War.
Just wanted to pop in and say I LOVE this tournament. I don't know how no one ever thought of this before.
Sure, the maps are imbalanced. But it is hilarious and nostalgic at the same time to see them being played today. Oh... scrap station how I miss you and 1 base 2 dropshipping everyone to smithereens

yeah... you can't be an official old map tournament without it. Duh!
Good luck QXC >.<; you'll need it :X
Gotta go with QXC...he actually played these maps when they were in the map pool.
Lol. Thanks for the Desert Oasis stats. The greatest map ever.
If there was ever a tournament setting where two foreign terrans were favorites over Korean zergs, this is probably it!
I'll take viOLet over qxc 3-1, and Illusion over Sleep 3-1.
Crossing fingers for a TvZ finals, that's the way it should be. Wish that there was a Protoss in the mix, but oh well.
(Go Zerg!!!)

Go Illusion! Let's do this!
That was next level thinking by Illusion, sweet move there.
Let's start a petition to bring Desert Oasis back to the ladder.

hold position on the scv in the chocke in front of the marines - the zerg must attack the scv manually
Who won between qxc and violet? The results aren't updated.

You block your ranged units (marines in this case... in most cases actually) with your workers and spam "stop" on your workers. The attacking units then must be manually directed to attack each worker, amove doesn't work.

Not quite... now if they played with "patch 1.0" mode somehow, that would have been interesting.
