GG regardless, keen made some good play but misread and overextended over the course of the game. Well to be fair, when that happens it's usually due to a complete lack of spreading by terran. Getting that many marines fungaled in place by one fungal is simply unacceptable. I know but like, Watching an entire end -game battle come down to not even an engagement but just... "hey a fungal landed, now that entire pack of units is dead and there is nothing you can do about it" is really...Not fun to watch. It's just a mechanic that shouldn't be in the game. This is really true. Even in BW, plagues did a FUCKTON of dmg but it never froze u in place. Fungals do seem a bit unfair :/ This is a solid discussion, but it's totally irrelevant to that game. If those were plagues/storms the same thing would've happened - the entire fucking marine ball got hit (by three fungals). There are times to bitch about fungal but that isn't really one of them; the game was decided whether it rooted or not. Appreciating that Golden pulled that off (because there was more to that than most spellcasting in SC2) would be more appropriate. I wouldn't quite say it is irrelevant to the game. Imagine all those marines that were funglaed last game. What killed all of them off? It was because they were froze in place that Golden could keep throwing fungals on top of the already fungaled marines because they were just frozen there. In BW, u plague a group of marines, but T could micro them back, and not lose them all to just spells
Exactly. TOo many people are missing the point of the whole discussion.
When you land a storm, you can do something about it, you can eat it, you can dodge it, you can try and juke it out you can do lots of things.
When you land a fungal, you just ignore those units cause 100% there is not a thing you can do. Nothing at all. Those units will die and you don't have a choice in the matter.
Stuff like that, SHOULD NOT be in the game. Nothing should be an absolute.

That game was decided by really good spellcasting, not by OP fungal growths - he didn't get a fungal on a clump of vikings and the game ended, he got three really nice fungals on packs of marines in the lategame. 90% of those marines die against any decently powerful spell.

gl wp! Golden implying Keen just got lucky ?

Despite Golden losing that game I was more impressed by his play then Keen's in the second game.

That build is so technical, even thought I'm a zerg, but I love it!

Golden was so sturdy this last game
