OK, here's how the tie-breakers work: When 3 or more players tie in matches (in this case Heart, DongRaeGu, Parting), they are handled as their own mini-pool and their results against other players are discarded. Then you look at their map-scores.

Not getting top 6 in that bracket is nothing to be ashamed of especially if you consider it was very close between him and DRG. He is still easily one of the top 3 protosses in the world.

But Parting has had trouble fending off early aggression from Terran in the past (just look up old VODs of him on youtube), and this tournament showed those glaring weaknesses.

Parting DRG both are 3-4 and 9-12, and Parting beat DRG... Yet Parting is out. Anyone explain?

PartinG should be out, but if MLG hasn't figured it out yet, don't trust Liquipedia. EDIT: In case people don't know, Liquipedia can be edited by anyone, it's not official at all, it's community updated. It shouldn't be considered an official representation. EDIT again: It's still incredible, not knocking Liquipedia or anything ridiculous like that, it's just not official MLG stuff.
