Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks!

A poster said in the previous thread that Western players need to step it up. I'm starting to think that's never going to happen. It's been 1.5 years, and the best the foreigner scene has produced is Stephano and while he's gotten to the level of Polt, he's not going to be able to get further since he's quitting this year because he can't see himself making enough money. Going forward, OGN getting into SC 2 is going to bring on a fiercer level of competition in Korea. After the next OSL in March, BW pros are going to see the writing on the wall and they're going to have to switch. When that happens, Korean SC 2 is going to become even better. In the foreigner's scene? Well, you can see the writing on the wall here, too. Teams are replacing their rosters with Koreans. Koreans are winning every tournament except those that a few special Westerners manage to win. Foreigners training in Korea aren't experiencing the success that people thought they would. The going is tough and getting tougher, and I don't see any hope of the foreigner's scene coming to its own. I would agree with you for NA players. The EU players are not that far behind though. They're pretty much the same as guys like Sheth, Idra, Incontrol and Demuslim (NA based). USA might lack depth but their top players are basically the same as top EU players sans Stephano. Nah. Barring HuK and perhaps Sheth the top EU players are on another level compared to the top NA players. And then there's Stephano who's in a league of his own among the foreigners atm. Idra has won more significant tournaments than any EU players except Stephano. He's been crappy in 2012 but it's way too early to write him off because Idra has always done this. It's not like Thorzain, Sase, White Ra, Morrow and other top Europeans have had good 2012's either. IdrA has been shit in the past as well. It wasn't until he was about 2 years in estro/cj that he started to take off. This should be nothing new if you know Greg. I always write him off because I know him. I'm always surprised when he actually manages to win something. Give the guy enough chances at kicking the can and eventually they'll get lucky. In terms of consistency, there's a trend with Greg. On a regular basis, he finishes near the top of all the foreigners. That's a pretty good trend to have, but still falls under the close but no cigar category. Besides that, let's only focus on the here and now because that's the only thing that's relevant. I've seen nothing from Greg that tells me he's about to break out of his funk. As for those other Europeans. I'd write them all off as well. They simply aren't living up to my expectations in terms of what they're capable of. idra has never really performed when koreans were present, the exception being iem when he beat puma, other than that he gets trashed, all his mlg and ipl wins have come against na part timers ...What about Revival? Boxer? Hungon? Bomber? Artist? Supernova? He barely beat boxer. It's kinda hard to have a clean win when are you are being cheesed every single game and he still beat him so i don't understand what's your point. Clever all ins =/= bad player. A win over someone is not a black or white statement about skill. The last game he beat boxer was boxers to win if he would have stopped 10 seconds from attacking spine crawlers with hellions and roast all of idras drones. GG, 4-3 for boxer. idra got outplayed and metagamed a lot that series and was one small mistake that costed boxer the game. Now if idra was consistent in beating koreans than yes, wins would matter. But some spikes of skill.....neah.
