Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament.
Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool.
Thanks!

Man, a lot of team kills going on in open bracket. Wish I could find an excuse to blame it on MLG

He forfeited first game because he was late and then he got all-ined twice and lost to the second one.

So what? Puma was in fact late, and the fact that he allined twice is completely irrelevant. Sure, it's a bit of a dick move, but not exactly something back-handed or whatever. If Puma and EG didnt want this to occur they should have been on time.

he could have been a good sport and not taken the walkover when it was optional and puma was 2 minutes late

Surprised Thorzain isn't in Code S. I suppose there is alot of luck involved making it there, but I truly think Thorzain is a top 10 player. I don't just know his name because he's a foriegner, I know of him because he's flipping good, and hell I don't really think he's the underdog in any match. I bet his style would be weak to July Zerg though, but that's not saying July is a better player, just in a team league, if I were a coach I'd probably try to use July or someone similar to snipe Thorzain.

He's not in Code S because he's not good enough for Code S. He's always been able to beat good players but he also loses all the time to way worse players than himself that no Code S players would ever lose to.

Thorzain has been exactly like this since TSL 3.

ThorZaIN even said it himself, he gets nervous when he's playing lesser players and gets really focused when facing the best.

Where has he been playing? I mostly only watch the GSL and the IGN proleague, sometimes some of the IWM matches as well. Thorzain just seems to win in the team matches.

I don't think people are forgetting anything, just giving him shit because they have no respect for him.

Tbh his marines were also a big part of it. What I notice players like Thorzain and some Koreans do versus gateway armies is making sure their marines get to deal damage through high DPS which you'd lose by kiting or "microing". Thorzain is extremely good at positioning his army to get the most out of his units, not only microing.

I noticed this too when he was killing MC's 3rd in game two. As he moved in he pulled the marauders out in front so even if his army gets FF'd in half his higher dps units stay alive.

He didn't "want the walkover" don't act like he did something in bad taste, he was offered the walkover. Also, Puma was way later than 2 minutes. Would you decline the walkover vs a high level Korean terran? No. Not to mention he won one game, so whos to say that he couldn't of beat Puma in 2 games?

i suggest you find alex garfields post on reddit where Ostojiy was actually giggling and hoping for the free win.

So, do we use the DRG - Ostojiy roflstomp now as further "GM on NA means Plat in KR" ?

Seriously, though, except for that whole 2min thing, maybe we shouldn't judge Ostojiy's play by that last series too harshly. He was ZvZing the current Zerg Overmind.

He demanded a walkover from the admins, Puma wasn't way later than 2 minutes, though it was more. And people generally dislike cheesy players. So it's not really unexpected that he didn't pick up loads of fans.

Ostojiy kept pressing for a DQ because Puma was two minutes late, then all-inned the next two games.

Are you at MLG? Do you know that he "pressed for a DQ?"

I think people should calm down the hate until there's time to see what happened.

MLG has always been extremely strict on FF games for delays.

clearly showed he can't defend a 6 pool with 14/14...

try again?

Ostojiy beat Puma and Golden to get in to pool play, it was his first time on such a big stage and he was up against the best zerg in the world.... so yeah he sure isn't even dia. What is wrong with you people...
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.
