Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks!

Oottersareneat wrote on reddit:To just defend my player here, for a second: A more accurate title would be "Ostojiy forces a forfeit in game one, and then all-ins Puma twice." There's no doubt that Puma was late for his match - the venue is loud, he's a Korean player, and we had a little bit of trouble finding him and wrangling him. Ultimately, though, he showed up two minutes past the cut-off time. Two minutes. Usually, MLG's somewhat flexible about tardiness, because they (like most of us) just want to see games played. In extreme cases, like with White-Ra in 2011, who was so far past the cut-off time, the MLG admins will enforce forfeits. But, generally, as long as both players want to play, MLG will let the match proceed normally. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case with Ostojiy. According to one MLG admin, and I quote directly, he was "giggling with his teammates about the prospect of getting a free pass past a difficult match." The MLG admin also told me that he was "constantly asking other admins what the cut-off time was for a forfeit" and "bludgeoning them about it." Of course I'm biased, but I don't find this to be particularly sportsmanlike. Those of you who watched the two games of the series that actually were played know that after Ostojiy got his way, and received a free map, he proceeded to all-in Puma twice (first with a roach-ling bust, and then with a ling-baneling all-in). The forfeited map, the games themselves, and Ostojiy's behavior prior to the forfeited map, all indicate to me that he was just looking to get the easiest win he could. We're part of a community that is obsessive, in a good way, about manner and sportsmanship. The only other major example of an MLG forfeit is the aforementioned White-Ra incident, in which his opponent felt so bad about the fact that MLG had forced a forfeit that when the two players met again in the lower bracket, he gave away the first two maps, so that the extended series could be turned into a fairer, true best of three. Unfortunately, not everyone has that sense of sportsmanship. It's a shame, because usually It's Gosu is a very mannered, sportsmanlike organization. I know that one of their primary executives, who manages the team, isn't at this MLG. Perhaps if he were in attendance, he would've prevented this. Yes, if Puma hadn't been two minutes late, I guess we could've avoided this. So there's some fault to be pointed at EG, for sure. Does that make Ostojiy's behavior any better? I don't think so. I think it was unsportsmanlike, and I find it disappointing.
