not trying to bring up balance, just frustrated for boxer and asking, what does he do?! Attack, harass, be annoying etc.

Boxer played that really badly - totally passive without taking any risks to get himself ahead while Creator went for fast double upgrades (in comparison to Boxer's) and faster eco/production behind his pressure. Worst of all, he engaged in a bad position on his half of the map, with absolutely no drop play or backstabs going on in the background.
Creator just played smarter.

is it just because he didnt pressure/try drops? how does boxer drop when cannons and stalkers/zlots defend each base ? it would have just put him farther behind Get upgrades faster (there has to be a significant timelapse between each player's upgrades to be a full upgrade behind, regardless of chrono), pressure AND THEN take risks
A great example is Creator's 2stalker/zealot pressure into full chrono on probes while getting gates up into double forge; with faster tech or less units lost Boxer could have really punished that. The terran equivalent is probably actually the 4rax into double upgrades before tech Boxer tried, except a) he missed the timing because of his early losses b) he missed his armory (and general tech) timing and c) that was the end of his pressure.
Never stop dropping against protoss. If you can put yourself in a semi-base trade situation you're probably in a better position than you would be - remaxing is stopped/delayed; terran can focus on the (very difficult/important) engagement; the protoss is likely flustered; the terran kills bases faster if it actually comes to that. Lategame the majority your army should almost always be on their side of the map against a deathball so that your production has time to kick in after an engagement; at least some of the protoss "aggresors' advantage" advantage is nullified that way.

What impressive Korean Protoss has Polt beaten recently? He lost to Creator in Code A as well.

Think it´s most ev+ for terran to just all in, Just as it best for P to get to late game safely. So well played by Creator think he deserved the win.

This match reminds me of every single TvP I play

Boxer never did anything to stop creator from getting a third, getting a deathball comp. You really need to pressure toss in order to delay their tech/deathball
he was behind from the early toss pressure and didn't really have a timing to pressure.
Also, anyone else feels that protoss shouldn't be able to chrono upgrades? Or would that make them too weak early game. Because just seems once zealots get to 3-3, terrans don't have anything to deal with them.

A big part of that battle was that creator had a perfect concave IMO, boxers units were super clumped..

sweet Happy vs Supernova and THEN july vs Boxer, because I'm falling fast U_U

you dont leave zerg alone, because you get 15min broodlords and 4bases boss mode
same thing with protoss, you have to pressure, when your opponent gets double forge and has fully saturated third immidiately, then you did something wrong
so sorry for Boxer

I guess the stalker pressure convinced boxer his only way of winning was to play to the late game...but this is the map where protoss is supposed to not get a 3rd/4th and he just let him get whatever he wanted unpunished ;/

Did you SEE creator's defense? He had cannons at his expansions, and a grou pof 4-5 stalkers and 4-5 zealots in his main mineral line. If Boxer drops, he gets MORE behind.

He beat: Squirtle, Hero(Twice) This year so far in BoX. But he havent had alot of TvP in GSL

i think boxer had the opportunity to win that game...but that doesn't mean he should've lost like that.
i dunno how imbalanced lategame tvp is...it's just so punishing for terran though.

Yeah I was suprised that boxer never planned to do any drops.

boxer was passive? creator was passive, too. the problem is that you can never catch up to the protoss tech as terran, and you have to be harassing becasue you have the mobile army, p has the "sitbackandgetthedeathball" army

Well, boxer is in no position to do that after losing 9-10 marines to the initial stalker pressure.

Guess gateway units aren't so bad after all the 2011 complains.
