And how's sponsorship in lol? These comments about viewership are getting so annoying, please stop comparing. Thx!

And how's sponsorship in lol? Nah, LoL has WoW-like player numbers and a dev that actively supports e-sports. User was warned for this post

And how's sponsorship in lol? they have a bigger playerbase to draw from due to the game being free and link to streams in the game client (which blizzard needs to start doing yesterday) so the numbers are going to be higher. no idea about sponsorship, but i know riot games puts a lot of money into prize pools

And how's sponsorship in lol? I feel this needs to have a warning at the top of the thread but... 1) LoL is a F2P game 2) LoL has a link to the stream of the event when you start the game 3) There are less LoL tournaments than SC2 tournaments so the market is far less saturated 4) Riot actually gives a damn about esports 5) Why can't we be happy it's doing okay? SC2 has around 33K spread over all the streams

Regardless of the time zone you are currently in, its 20k vs 90k+ and sc2 isn't on the main stage. Well I wasn't comparing the numbers between the games. Just pointing out why this particular SC2 tournament is getting less viewers than other major SC2 events.

Well work, school, and sleep. More interesting numbers tomorrow, or later today. However, I don't doubt that lol will still win out - the developer is better at promoting this sort of stuff, and the game itself is more suited for casual players.

People, don't worry. SC2 and LoL are so different, they won't be competing against each other. SC2 is more about individual players and high level skill based gaming while LoL is more about the casual player and his team.
