All Koreans filling up the top spots in group A, B and current group C (with select being last of them). D doesnt seem impossible either once supernova gets to play his games.

Although I don't agree with the " LoL will kill sc2 " thing. You do have to wonder why our stream only has 20k viewers when the scan invitational that Apollo did recently got just as many if not more at its peak. And that was a one day invitational tournament.

Maybe people just don't like IEM? I guess it's also a really bad time for people on the west coast right now but eh.

NA tournies seem to always do wayyyyy better, MLG winter was a huge success

I don't think It's that, homestory cup is an eu tournament and it got a LOT of viewers, dreamhack gets a lot, assembly gets a lot.

It's likely a mix of what other people were saying. Weekday, bad time for NA. IEM is not the best sc2 tournament out there by any means. There's so many sc2 tournaments these days that missing one is not a big deal, just tune into the one on the next weekend. I think it really splits up our viewership numbers.

yea good point IEM is probably the least popular and has some bad publicity around it with prize money and such

Well it's mostly the timing. Europeans have work/devil-worshipping/school, NA are mostly sleeping at the moment and weekday tournaments rarely draw large numbers.

These arguments would make more sense if there weren't people watching the LoL stream. Regardless of the time zone you are currently in, its 20k vs 90k+ and sc2 isn't on the main stage.

Well I wasn't comparing the numbers between the games. Just pointing out why this particular SC2 tournament is getting less viewers than other major SC2 events.

i guess it is because its middle of the night in the US and it started 9am in europe so basically only people without jobs or school could watch it. and me because my job is imbalanced.

There's 30k total sc2 viewers. IEM is biggest LoL tournament. American sc2 fans are sleeping, europeans at work. Don't worry

So LoL fans don't sleep and work? People, don't worry. SC2 and LoL are so different, they won't be competing against each other. SC2 is more about individual players and high level skill based gaming while LoL is more about the casual player and his team.

And on a side note what i expierenced last year at Gamescom IEM Cologne was that when LoL games were on main stage seats were only filled aboout 50%.
SC2 games on mainstage = no moar seats left.

Riot did it just right that they implemented the "streams" into the game.

It has been like that since last summer; the LoL / Dota 2 have higher viewer numbers, sometimes even 10x higher than SC2.

Dota2...No
Over 1.5 million viewers during The International. Of course, that includes China, which has the largest Dota community.

If that turns out to be the final group standings it's actually quite sad for the foreign scene.

i normaly not whine about such unimportent things, but since all tournaments ever, this IEM have perhaps the worst music ever played ... i have to mute the sound between the games or hope i get commercial ... jaeh i hope commercial comes so i not have to listen this music ... whats that ? electro techno thing ? on a starcraft tournament ?

about idra, i feel he beats himself, if he isnt crushing his enemys he feels something is wrong but not looking the mistake at himself but at maps balance or the enemy is just playing shitt and wins, and when he down 0-1 or something he plays shitty 2nd game leaves instant and call everything imba, i dont think he can make a good run if he doesnt changes that he is very good but he cant think that everyone else is shit with that he cant just win

That is the first tournament for Dota2... Imagine if Blizzard make a tournament to show off WoW2 and you can surpass that number easily.

Koreans looks so forlorn and out of it when they travel to foreign tournaments. I barely recognized MMA yesterday and today poor Supernova looks like he needs some chicken soup and crackers while he's getting ready for his next match.
