3/3 rines and 2/0 tanks vs 2/1 lings not favourable to zerg whatsoever. Once Stephano hesitated and pulled back his army after number of tank firings, his supply advantage was gone. He also made bad decision of letting polt kill all of his mining bases for the sake of broodlords - he should have countered attacked to polt's third again, but he did it too late and had to pull back once polt's reinforcement was in position to defend it.

His attacks would've crushed any European/NA Terran (except maybe Kas and Thorzain), but against Polt it's just not doing enough damage. Stephano is making a lot of decisions based on his experience and the level of Terran play in Europe/NA just isn't up to par for him to have that experience.
ZvT is one match up that Stephano will never be as good in as his ZvP and ZvZ precisely because of that. Not unless he finds a way to practice with top Terrans in Korea. This seems pretty accurate, I think.

Just the stephano fanboys
Honestly stephano just threw that game away - simple and plain. He thought he had it so he wasted all his banes and mutas.

I was away for a few minutes. How the hell did Polt win the game on shakuras plateau???
Still hoping for Stephano!!!

Agreed. The reason the games are so fun to watch is because the two are so closely tied in skill.

Agh I should stop reading this thread.
There's no viable T3 for T, so it's not like he made a decision there.
The point is, not many people complained about the first game Stephano lost, but the latter two have balance issues and should not be in the mappool in the first place.

Imbalance is stretching it a lot.
But winning a game by being able to apply non stop aggression thanks to being on close position Metalopolis how do you call it?
Shakuras TvZ?
I mean we're not talking about never-seen problems that have just been discovered today..

Isn't that every TvZ?

This and claiming something is imbalanced based on 3 games is retarded.

Thing look bad for Stephano.

It is insane how much Polt manage to get out from 2 bases, i mean he has insane macro but should that really be possible?
In both 3 and 4 game he has been on 2 bases but still manage to continuously create cost effective marine armies with just pure mule power.
Ah well Polt is insane.

That's what he's saying lol.
Stephano decided to back off and use his bank to max on broodlords which meant he sacced all of his economy. The other option was to try break the big push and then use your bigger economy to overwhelm the meagre reinforcements Polt could crank out with your much bigger numbers of new units.

Trying again: What map is this?

Seems largely irrelevant in that game.

its not imbalance, its just stephanos style of throwing random stuff at the opponent that isnt working against Polt

Polt (GSL champion) 3-1 Stephano -- imbalance why do you think that? polt is good, GSL champ, you can't just say it's imba dude, come on He was summing up the LR thread, not making a statement that it's imba. He is just stating that when Stephano beat Puma, it was pure skill. Now when Polt is beating Stephano, it's because Polt plays Terran and is imba.
