I don't often cheer for foreigners because the Koreans quite frankly just outclass most of them and I usually can hardly wait to see the Koreans play. Goes to show people don't appreciate good play as much as they do their favorites. I know... The people who said Lucky played awful when he lost to Polt instead of praising Polt probably were the same who praised Stephano instead of blaming the "bad" play by Puma... Hypocrites.

Flash holds the longest winning streak for both TvT (22 wins) and TvP (13 wins) in so called “regular games”.Flash is the most successful player in the history of progaming in terms of qualification. After his 2010 achievements, Flash was nicknamed God Young-Ho by Korean fans. According to TLPD Flash is currently the only player with a winrate greater than 70% in all of his matchups. Now he is 14:0 in PL. And in PL he wins some games "by accident" ![]()

Elo, Elo, Elo. Elo does not mean as much if you are using it across inconsistent tournament formats in a game such as SC2. We would just be better off if we stopped trying to argue who are the Top X players, but that will never happen.

People need to understand that dominating EU invitationals and going 29-1 in ZvP is a lot different to winning GSL. (Although this field was quite good, im not tryin to take anything away from him) No one in their right mind can say he's the best zerg in the world, that's just crazy. But I could definitely make an argument for top 10, and possibly top 5. DRG is my #1 and Leenock #2 :D

When a Korean player takes a foreigner tournament against the best the foreigner's scene has got to offer, that shows a gap. When a foreigner player does the same in GSL, that shows a gap. I don't think Stephano will ever get to the point where he'll be able to show a gap against the best of the best. For this reason, I think requirements like yours are way too high. I think a good bar for Stephano would be if he consistently defeats GSL champions in foreigner tournaments. If he can do that, I'd be willing to say that he's the top Zerg, with the understanding that there can be multiple top Zergs around the same level. I agree. Also, with Nestea playing how he play nowadays, the only 2 "top" zerg that consistently win in Korea are DRG and Leenock. Coca was another that felt above the rest while he was playing, incredibly smooth play, but he has been inactive for a while. I wouldn't bat an eye if someone could think Stephano was Top 3 Z in the world. The rest of Foreigner aren't even close honestly. Naniwa and Thorzain are the best two behind him right now, but they're incredibly inconsistent, and i wouldn't put them even in a Top 10 for their race.

Well so in this game Puma did exactly the same opening he did against Stephano and did a lot more damage. Blame that on Lucky or acknowledge that Stephano did just defend it way better because he is a better player?
