Idra is so famous because he has a good mouth to promote him. Other than that...

Stephanos is cocky but he wins to back it up. And when he loses he acknowledges the players skill not like idra.

In my eyes stephano is miles ahead of idra.

stephano has also said that toss are the hardest race to play

To clarify a few things:

1. Stephano beat Polt in the last bo3 and Polt beat Stephano in bo3 before that.
2. Stephano generally beat Polt on the ladder (go to youtube and search for Polt and Stephano).
3. Stephano is the best foreigner.
4. Stephano is a top 5 zerg. His ELO in international events is higher than all zerg's and is just below IMMVPs.

He actually just passed MVP. They already put in the Puma games.

1. Thats cool
2. Ladder doesn't mean jack shit.
3. up in the air, hes close but still can argue for others.
4. Implying international ELO means anything.

The biggest story of this tournament is the lack of working mics.

Yeah but it doesn't really mean anything. MC and MVP play only in major international tournaments. If they stomped rotterdam in randomeucuptournament thing #5 they would have a higher ELO.

Yea I know I was actually just surprised how fast the updated. also... holy shit @ marineking's international vP. since losing to Huk 2-0 at MLG orlando he's gone 33-4 in foreign TvP O_o losses to Ozx2, San, and Grubby
Pretty close to the Stephano vP record recently

Anyone wondering how Puma has regressed as a player though?
I mean hes literally stagnant, in korea, he hasn't even been able to beat code B zergs,
It seems a long time ago when he was a top player who could beat MC in a BO7.

it's pretty weird, EG maybe jumped the gun with signing him

Don't be silly, he has done good for himself overall. Some top finishes at MLG, Finalist of Dreamhack Winter 2011, and winner of NASL S2. He went deep in this tournament and lost to a good opponent, nothing to be ashamed of. Jesus, some of you people are so quick to pull out the pitchforks.

He's had pretty much the easiest group/bracket possible here (until Stephano).

Anyway, Puma was Code S material (or getting there) while he was on TSL. The results he's posting now just demonstrate a natural decline when the player is no longer in a 100% Korean training environment constantly.

Your point about Puma is well taken and it puts Stephano's accomplishments in an even more favorable light. He's been destroying everyone and he primarily trains on the EU ladder and against Bling and Mana (the latter of whom is very good, but not comparable to top Koreans).
To be is to be the value of a bound variable.

thats not how ELO works...

It was entered into TLPD. It affects his ELO, no?

Why are you talking in the past tense?

He is single-handedly destroying everyone.

Need proof. Watch the game he played last night.

Opps, just my natural tendency to put things in the past tense. Yes, he is destroying everyone and is in better condition than ever before.

Neah, he won that 8 player China invitational . But even he said that that wasn't the most valuable thing for him in 2011.

What I mean is that your ELO doesn't increase by a whole lot by beating players with very low ELO (i.e. random masters dude at randomeucuptournament thing #5)
I'm not trying to say that the TLPD ELO means a whole lot, but just saying that playing a lot of low-skill cups doesn't helpt your ELO all that much.
