2. Stephano generally beat Polt on the ladder (go to youtube and search for Polt and Stephano).
3. Stephano is the best foreigner.
4. Stephano is a top 5 zerg. His ELO in international events is higher than all zerg's and is just below IMMVPs.

He actually just passed MVP. They already put in the Puma games.

Yeah but it doesn't really mean anything. MC and MVP play only in major international tournaments. If they stomped rotterdam in randomeucuptournament thing #5 they would have a higher ELO.

Yea I know I was actually just surprised how fast the updated. also... holy shit @ marineking's international vP. since losing to Huk 2-0 at MLG orlando he's gone 33-6 in foreign TvP O_o

That's amazing, but not quite as amazing as Stephano's going 29-1 (Sorry, I'm obviously a Stephano fan boy and can't resist.)

well to be fair - it´s the match of "2 losers" , and not the final.

How long has it been since a foriegner actually topped the ELO? It feels like ages, congrats to Stephano, even if only lasts as long as a couple of hours, MVP's playing tonight.

Well, MKP run in TvP is actually very very note worthy as terran is having difficulties in this match up.

thats not how ELO works...

It was entered into TLPD. It affects his ELO, no?

And that's the main reason I don't take international ELO seriously. Half the entries top players play are against those that can hardly be considered on the professional level greatly inflated their rating above others who only play top competition in only the largest events.

I'll assume that you're trolling and not know what a bonjwa is.

A lot of times the people who put Stephano on a pedastal like that aren't really Stephano fans; they're just doing that to get people like you to dislike Stephano fans.

I don't think you understand. He really is, arguably, the best Zerg in the world.

He really isn't while he proves his - undeniable - skills on inferior stages.

When Stephano makes it to a GSL final a couple of times, sure you can call him the best Zerg in the world. Until then, it's just blowing smoke. The talk around Stephano now is identical to the talk about Naniwa before he went to Korea.

GSL favors Korean players since it's their home turf.

Foreigner tournaments favor foreign players since it's their home turf.

When a Korean player takes a foreigner tournament against the best the foreigner's scene has got to offer, that shows a gap.

When a foreigner player does the same in GSL, that shows a gap.

I don't think Stephano will ever get to the point where he'll be able to show a gap against the best of the best.

For this reason, I think requirements like yours are way too high.

I think a good bar for Stephano would be if he consistently defeats GSL champions in foreigner tournaments. If he can do that, I'd be willing to say that he's the top Zerg, with the understanding that there can be multiple top Zergs around the same level.

hell, show me one game where ragequitted or insulted his opponent

yeah, idra gets away with shit that would get other players bullied out of the community

Yep, shitting on players gets people ousted by the SC2 community, like that one guy who won the Super Tournament... What was his name again?

Didn't MMA win that one? Or MKP? I can't seem to remember.

You might be thinking of the Blizzard Cup or the GSL World Championship. Polt won the Super Tournament 4-0 against MMA.

Way to not get the joke lol.

Oh, right, I though people had laid of that joke a long time ago

I'm not really paying attention either though I'm listening to the commentary. It's a game between two guys who got destroyed painfully fighting to determine who lost less.

3rd place offers little glory (though decent money).
I'm not bad at Starcraft; I just think winning's rude.

Still sad though, I watch these games to see the best play possible, not for foreign or korean mumbo jumbo, if a foreigner plays really, really good then I'll cheer for him. I don't often cheer for foreigners because the Koreans quite frankly just outclass most of them and I usually can hardly wait to see the Koreans play.

Goes to show people don't appreciate good play as much as they do their favorites.
