Like i've been saying the last month, the answer to late game TvP right now...is to turtle, get a bankroll, trade your army as best as you can and go mass BC + ghost. No progamer is playing it correctly right now, they keep attacking into the protoss warp-in meatgrinder.

To make it work you have to build planetary walls to gain time, as well as use nukes to harrass / drops where possible, and build 5-8 BCS at a time with the bankroll you accumulate.

2 BCS at a time...? Never going to work ever. Also, no turret ring or sensor towers...yeah...

I guess that would require mass VRs to deal with? Plus an observer or 2 to deal with cloak?

Too big a tech switch. Makes sense

My LB can still be mostly salvaged! But that would necessitate me rooting against NaDa.

I can't do it.

Yup. I <3 Zealot drops in PvT.

Terrans aren't used to dealing with them.

In late game, its very hard for terran to split his army, due to massive warp in reinforcements. Protoss can warp in a bunch of zealots into main, and terran either has to decide between pulling whole army and risking getting counter attacked or splitting army and possibly being forced to engage in two places when he will have to kite chargelots in two places at the same time which not even pro korean terrans can do consistently. If protoss loses the zealots in the terran main he can instantly warp them to the front line, whereas the terran units in the main have to run back. Warp prisms are also insanely fast with upgrade and decent hp now so if they are microd correctly you can't really ever kill them unlike blink stalker vs medivac.

I do think maybe having viking patrols to deny in late game will become more common but again, thats less vikings for collosus and warp prism are so fast they can probably avoid viking.

Or they could you know.... make turrets.

lol, how many bases are you on? 10? There is no way you can turtle and have so many bases for the resources required to do this...

Late game TvP Not cool.

he was actually really behind all game long after losing 2 medivacs filled with units along with toss taking 3base so fast. he was 40 supply ahead in early midgame

puzzle didnt play so well so the game seemed fair and possible back and forth but in reality puzzle could have just killed him with a powerattack in the storm timing but he didnt. instead he made a weird fail attack while expanding so it even made less sense and after that it created a false illusion of exciting game

if u get 3base and get 40 supply ahead and kill a ton of terran units, make a warp prism and 5 extra gateways, stop make probes and upgrades and just go kill terran really. it annoys me how little toss adapts to their advantages they get

Wow, Keen is going to go 0-4 I guess. Damn. Never understood the hype for him at all.

You can't bring your A game every time. He's definitely a good player but his group is actually kinda difficult considering NaDa's TvT is very strong and TvP is a pretty tricky matchup. Everyone knew Puzzle was going to be a fierce contender but Parting showed some solid PvT also.

Partin did not show solid PvT, Parting vs NaDa were all BO wins, pretty lame actually.... While Puzzle played extremely solid late game PvT on the other hand

ToD is pretty good against turtle terrans for example, you can abuse immobility of BC fairly easily, so i don't think that this is a good idea, maybe by surprise

It would also be silly to disregard Puzzle's ridiculous bank. He had like 4000+/4000+ or something while keen was at around 500/500.

Some months ago I had nightmares of terrans and theier 1/1/1 on this map, I still dont like it for toss...

But I got a feeling Puzzle will win if he makes 3 immortals o_O (Just saying..)

it's kind of interesting that every race hates one particular endgame-scenario:

The game was almost over when KeeN prepared for a gateway allin and Puzzle took a fast fast third base imo.
What do you think Keen should have done better in order to not get mindgamed like that?
An alone marine hidden near Puzzle's third or something?

parting might have been ahead by builds and so in early games. but even knowing that he showed alot better play of protoss and understanding of the matchup imo

a mixture of creator and parting would be the best pvt to me. most toss players seem too afraid to take risks vs terrans or lack of basic understanding of pvt to use their advantages
