Keen had that game if he'd stayed on Vikings and built a few turrets in his main to deter Warp Prisms. I'm not really sure what either player was thinking for much of that game.

Like i've been saying the last month, the answer to late game TvP right now...is to turtle, get a bankroll, trade your army as best as you can and go mass BC + ghost. No progamer is playing it correctly right now, they keep attacking into the protoss warp-in meatgrinder.

To make it work you have to build planetary walls to gain time, as well as use nukes to harrass / drops where possible, and build 5-8 BCS at a time with the bankroll you accumulate.

2 BCS at a time...? Never going to work ever. Also, no turret ring or sensor towers...yeah...

Otherwise, the lategame is massively protoss favored because protoss have gotten so good at turtling to 3-5 bases. Drop harrassment is OK when you hit 4 dropships, but then after that protoss have enough gateways to deter it enough and gather the templar+collosus deathball...so Terran needs to do the same turtling protoss is doing with triple nuke silo + planetary wall into defense + gather bankroll. I think korean Terrans + all other Terrans are just figuring this out...but everyone is so aggressive minded they haven't considered simply...not attacking so much.

Protoss basically absorbs every attack like a sponge with mass zealot warp-in which gives them time to re-accumulate their gas units =/ Terran can do the same with planetary walls + nukes to buy time for BC + ghost + nuke.

Otherwise the only other way I can see pure bio + viking + ghost beating lategame P deathballs is by having like 0-10 SCVS at that point in the lategame and only orbitals. Most T games we see T winning are b4 Protoss has their turtle shell secure. Then all the games lately with Protoss crushing face are when they easily secure their side of the map, stop all drop harrass, and they just let Terran attack into them over n over again and trade zealots till they're on 5 bases and unstoppable...

Well it's no real suprise to see Puzzle playing not very brightly. Most of his defeats in the GSL were results of stupid play, but who cares if his macro is kicking ass and his micro is acceptable? Right now it is enough against most of his opponents. Should be also enough against NaDa, but we'll see. NaDa is a player who can abuse bad decisions very well.

There was a hype train? You mean the fact that Keen went 18-3 in online (if I recall) over last month or so generated a super hype train I missed?

Sure, people who had seen any Keen this month saw him come into some sort of his own element, and often Keen looks good. But I don't think he's ever had a lot of hype.

You can't bring your A game every time. He's definitely a good player but his group is actually kinda difficult considering NaDa's TvT is very strong and TvP is a pretty tricky matchup. Everyone knew Puzzle was going to be a fierce contender but Parting showed some solid PvT also.

In late game, its very hard for terran to split his army, due to massive warp in reinforcements. Protoss can warp in a bunch of zealots into main, and terran either has to decide between pulling whole army and risking getting counter attacked or splitting army and possibly being forced to engage in two places when he will have to kite chargelots in two places at the same time which not even pro korean terrans can do consistently. If protoss loses the zealots in the terran main he can instantly warp them to the front line, whereas the terran units in the main have to run back. Warp prisms are also insanely fast with upgrade and decent hp now so if they are microd correctly you can't really ever kill them unlike blink stalker vs medivac.

I do think maybe having viking patrols to deny in late game will become more common but again, thats less vikings for collosus and warp prism are so fast they can probably avoid viking. I actually think the scarier thing is protoss don't seem used to using them.

I don't see that working for a variety of reasons.

I like Keen's idea better to mix in a few BCs with the bio ball to snipe the Collosus with Yamato Cannon and then use EMP to deal with everything else.

Problem was he gave away his army before the BCs could come into help.

losing that ghost academy during the game battle cost him the game prolly..come on keen dont built ur important tech buildings in the most exposed place of all the map...also anyone thinking that archon merging time is a tad too fast...dunno i just say maybe.
