That being said, I'm not 100% sure but shift+0 may be a single command (check the SC2 hotkey remapping). Basically, "1 command to 1 key" is ok, but not "2 commands to 1 key". Thus, if you bound a "fake" key (e.g. f12) to that shift+0 hotkey and bound the macro key to f12, then it's fine.

In online tournaments, I think it would be hard to make sure nobody uses it, so I guess it's allowed there as well. I'm quite sure it's not allowed in big LANs though, which, given that those are the biggest tournaments, the top level players will primarily practice for those, and therefore they probably use non-macro keyboards in all situations to make sure that that's what they get their practice with.

As an aside, I'm curious if one of MY shortcuts is legal. I made one of my mouse buttons a duplicate 'H' key (my shortcut for warpgates). Again, one key, one button press. But it's perhaps different from rebinding a keyboard key. Also, Blizzard doesn't sell their own macro keyboard. Razer bought the SC2 license to plaster on some of their products. The existence of such products has nothing to do with what is considered kosher while playing SC2.

You're on questionable territory (my guess is tourney illegal) creating a button for shift+0 (two key presses become one), but making any button on your keyboard "0" is fine (one key press becomes one button press). I've heard a few pros mention they've experimented with rebinding various keys on their keyboards so that hotkeys & F1 shortcuts are in convenient positions. The existence of such products has nothing to do with what is considered kosher while playing SC2. What you did (binding a mouse button to 'H') is perfectly legal and I'm 100% sure allowed in any tournament, including the GSL. Why the OP may be a little confusing is because I'm think shift+0 is considered 1 button press in the hotkeys interface and hence it's legal to assign that to the macro key.

My gf just bought a new keyboard, Razer Black Widow, and the first thing she did was bind 4 + E to Macro 1. She puts nexus on 4, so now it's one click to que probes. Such cheaterage. She's bronze so I dont think anyone would care, but man, if a masters could utilize that kind of shortcut it would save so many extra clicks. IMO it should be illegal, but oh well. Enjoy your macros man, I'm sure you can come up with some pretty sick ones. Ex. Stim A-Click? As a Terran I thought it'd be cool anyways

http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Laser-Gaming-Mouse-RZ01-00280100-R3/dp/B002MPPRPO I mean it may sound a bit ridiculous but in theory one can have 12 extra control groups.

Yeah the naga is legal but no you can't have 12 extra control groups. SC2 simply won't allow more then the regular 10 groups. There is no way to add additional ones no matter how many buttons you have. Also for some reason I was unable to bind a (shit+#) to any of the keys on my razer mouse while I was still able to bind regular numbers and letters and combinations thereof (none of which I found useful).
