I would argue that MC is among the best of what the Protoss race has to offer. There are better Terrans than MKP, but not many (like 4-5?), and namely because of their TvT. This is pretty much true. MKP's vZ is only really below MMA, MVP, maybe Bomber. But they are all just much better at TvT. Loosing to MC and MKP isn't embarrassing as Zerg, they are both great at the matchup.

Seriously, NaNi's practice regime is borderline unhealthy :< streaming and laddering till like 8 AM Korean time. He must have the most fucked up sleep schedule known to man.

But I agree with Pop here, Stephano is also just not playing as well as he did a couple of months ago. In the end it is probably a combination of both. He played really well in Blizzard Cup and in the KR ladder. If anything the Blizzard Cup combined with this game showed that this infestor/ling style in ZvT is as good as dead. MVP hardcountered it, MKP just did the same. Stephano is suffering from the same thing Idra (and MKP) suffered from, being way too predictable. Yeah, infestor/ling is not so great when you blow 3k/3k to absolutely useless ultras at the most critical part of the game, that get hard countered by 3 marauders and never even hit anything.

Koreans take him serious now and obviously studied his style. The honeymoon is over for Stephano and now we will see if he can bounce back As expected, tbh. You know, it sorta reminds me of a certain MKP. There was a time when he was "figured out", yet now he's bounced back! Can stephano re-think his playstyle and bounce back, too? I dunno Does he even want to bounce back ? He said he cant handle playing a long time starcraft like koreans do, thats why he left Korea thinking he reached his plateau there. He even said he wont go back to Korea and that this tournament was a decider in his future as a progamer.

Marineking and MC are as Code S as you can be in my opinion. And Sound just seems extremely good, although unproven until now. Though I agree with you, I expect a sad year for foreigners. Last Dreamhack and NASL already pointed in that direction. Well I agree with you about MC and MK but the others... Not as good. jyp is good vz and vp. sound needs to work on his marine micro but his macro is good. he went through a very tough korean qualifier to get here. real looked good as well. i want to see more of him

Just some of the favorite foreigners not playing up to their level it seems, like Ret and Stephano escpecially.. Gogogo remaining foreingers! I'm rooting for you ! And if you could take out MarineKing and MC soon so they have more time to cast that'd be sweet too ;D

He played really well in Blizzard Cup and in the KR ladder. I cannot speak about ladder. Blizzard Cup was decent, but his decision making in his game against MC back then was already off (after the first wave of his roach/ling all-in). I still don't doubt that Stephano is at the same level of the koreans. But there are just so many of them ![]() i think nerchio's play looks the cleanest out of all the zergs at HSC so far
