I'd say it's either bad luck, or he needs to improve his TvZ.

Then you guys forget about PuMa, the guy never qualified for code A. IMO Jinro should leave Korea if he has lack of motivation with being in bad form such a long time, otherwise he should continue, he wouldn't improve more neither faster elsewhere. Actually i thought TOP would come back this season, he hasn't and he is also a code S finalist... so, it happens?

I'd say it's either bad luck, or he needs to improve his TvZ. He's just not that good tbh. Like Liquid's counterpart, he is a foreign tournament hero who has had very little success in Korea. I'm not sure why, but from beating foreigner's he has been proclaimed one of the best Terran's in the world. It's insulting that people like Artosis put him in the same breath as the likes of Mvp or mma. The simple truth is that mediocre Koreans will be better than just about every foreigner on the planet. I'm sure Zenio will do just as well if not better than Hero and Puma. You could take any b-teamer and he would do well if flown out to foreign tournaments. In my eyes, GSL continues to be the only tournament that carries weight in regard to displaying the best skilled SC2 players in the world, and if you aren't competing and performing in the GSL you are irrelevant on the grand scale, tho I respect the fans and the players of the foreign world-- NFL vs any other football league basically.

I was typing for looknohands earlier because he was trying to qualify (made it to the second round!) and we will be headed to day 2 because it's my turn to play. Looknohands will be trying to do some LR and I'll join him once i get knocked out. Sase will be there tomorrow and hopefully you guys can convince him to do more LR with us (he said he was doing it because he has such fond memories of the Brood War LR he used to listen to). Anyway, see you in a couple hours!! also, yes - GSL Code A Qualifiers are a best of 3 bracket and if you lose you're out!! 2 days, 2 groups each day. Thanks man, good luck in your matches tomorrow!

Maybe if Jinro left he'd get his mojo back, and his confidence would return. It's worth thinking about anyway. Of course, moving isn't cheap, so he may want to keep plugging away. If he goes, he may be gone for good. I feel deprived by the decision not to broadcast the qualifiers. I object to this decision.

Maybe other players figured him out, maybe other players just simply became better than him, but I cant see any further improvement in Korea buh who knows I never seen his practice schedule or anything but foreigners seem to be getting ripped apart here and there, foreigners need to take the scene in a more serious way and start ignoring the bronze-masters community and concentrate on their own improvement i reckon. I'd like to continue to have faith in him. At the time he was the only dude going to macro style play, everyone else was just figuring out the best way to cheese. He was the only guy playing straight and safe games. Now that the game has evolved beyond the cheese fest that was the open seasons his play is no longer unique, but a less refined version of the rest of Korea's. Hopefully he can rise up and change the way the game is played again because last time he did it made the game 10x more interesting.

I would like to see how many more Zergs qualify see if there is some racial disparity going on in Korea or if the people who qualified got lucky.

he's quite good, I don't think he's one of the best. but the purpose of the seeding is for fans to have a more vested interest (especially people who don't already watch everything GOM broadcasts, of course, whose money they want and are generally speaking likely to be into an american player) so there's no point making the comparison unless you for some reason want to ignore gom's intent.
