the medivacs were literally right on top of his army, he could easily see the thors weren't in range.

WOULD U GO FOR TONS OF MARINES which would WIN YOU THE GAME or kill TWO RANDOM MEDIVACS which COULD BE EMPTY?! it was SUCH GOOD MMA control stop blaming "fanboyism and "bad play" and just FUCKING APPRECIATE THE MATCH If you are guardian your broodlords from the said marines you know the marines will have to come back to you to fight...so why rush of towards a PF? take out medievacs MMA cant replace because he is probably cranking out vikings and the marines die from your infestors... Tasteless's explanation makes sense, he was just so busy microing against the deadliest threat of them all -- the marine -- that he didnt notice until it was too late.

DRG was too busy managing the front of his army. A move targets the closest units. Medivacs were in front of the army, therefore an a-move would have attacked them

Mutas don't clump up when their target is within them. also where the medivacs were were not within thor range, so they were on their own.

in a last ditch effort, MMA filled two medivacs with siege tanks and dropped them behind onto infesters to be met up with rallied marines from his main. DRG might've thought that was a move to buy time, or a distraction, regardless, it was brilliant and a last ditch effort in that moment to turn around a loss, as losing his whole army with the zerg right outside his base is pretty much GG.

MMA probably anticipated that/took the risk since tanks are pretty much useless unsieged vs brood lords. The problem with your "theory" is that the medivac flew into the flock of mutas, not by them. Meaning those medivacs were already magic box'd.
