How exactly was DRG out of position to deal with the tanks anyway?
A-Move won't target medivacs first, DRG would have to manually target them if there are other battle units near by. DRG was too busy managing the front of his army. A-move on his mutas would have attacked the medivacs since the marines weren't in range. But you can't a-move mutas because then they'll stack and the thors will kill you....
Thanks for the input, I don't play zerg so I was making some assumptions. So to pull that off you really have to have to keep your thors and marines together to make the zerg be more careful.

That's what I call blind fanboyism. DRG was allining in the last battle, and even if he won that battle he would lose anyway. MMA just needs 20 marines to clean up everything since banelings and infestors would be out of equation. I still think terran is OP btw. DRG didn't do anything wrong but he still lost by quite margin. It wasnt even close.

This is the sixth consecutive GSL tournament won by a Terran. (This is over.)

Doesn't matter if they had units in them or not, thats how you play zerg. Your muta are suppose to target the medivacs while your lings and banelings engage the army. nope, actually wrong, mutas target tanks first while banes chase and lings try to hinder marine movement. Ya because you shirft click your mutas on the retreating unsiege tanks right lol?

They game took a rly bad turn for drg when he lost his fourth expansion. My guess is that drg misjudged the size of the army mma used to kill that hatch. He could have destroyed that army consisting of a few marines, a thor and couple of siege.

The tanks were so vulnerable in the medivac, the only reason this worked was because DRG failed his control.
Considering he went from near death with absolutely nothing to deal with the Broodlords to winning the game 10 seconds later, I'd say that was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.
Haters gonna hate I suppose.

I don't know why people DON"T think it was a good move. Yes if was risky, BUT if you think about it, he was going to lose all of those tanks/medivacs anyways to the broodlords, so he might as well take a risk and hope that DRG didnt notice or couldn't micro, and it definitely paid off

DRG mistakes: 1. Not targeting Medivacs with muta, they just flew by with mutas in very close distance. 2. Army split into two parts, one part even attacking the fortress.
It was genius because DRG was fucked had he targetted the medivacs with muta (which was fucking hard to do anyways, so if you don't have Stephano's micro...) because of the thors, and fucked anyways with the drop. I don't know if they thought about a situation like that or if it was on the fly decision making, but it was awesome. When MMA is on fire he is really really good in TvZ that's scary

Smart by MMA sucks for DRG Well it was in his vision

The armies weren't already fighting. The thors and marines were still running away and out of range of DRGs army. It would've taken half a second to a-move and kill those medivacs.

MMA, what else ? The risky move was his only chance to win the battle, it was well executed taking advantage of DRG focus being elsewhere, you don't only play a race, you play an opponent as well. Touch of genius in the move

That's just like NBA finals last second. People will spend the entire summer talking about that last shot. It is supposed to be like this.

Don't forget we saw on the screen the medivac full with 2 white bars above, but DRG couldn't see that, so maybe was he thinking the medivacs were empty and that it was better to attack the rest of the army
|
Mutas were not on amove, they were either on move or right clicked on the broodlords on follow. On amove they would have shooted the medivacs as the were the only in range target. (in fact the only target at all)
