Actually I think most of them think they get a better chance of winning if cheesing than playing a standard game lately, and they do win. Sad but true. Terran cheese is so powerful because you can do what ever you want behind a wall off. If you proxy 2 racks you dont have to worry about it, just float it home. If I played terran Id probably do that too, a lot. But it is definitely not entertaining. My prediction for MMA vs DRG. game 1: MMA does a obnoxious double barracks proxy somewhere "hidden" that the slayers terrans have found. game 2: Bunker rush into siege tank marine push. game 3: standard play??? hopefully

Guys.... MVP is not perfect.... MMA played better today.... Whether u agree with me or not, that's fine, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But the results of today do not lie. MMA 3 - 0 MVP Let's move on and look forward to a great finals with DRG vs MMA

[IPL TAC] Today, SlayerS lost to Mousesports They sent out 0 of their Ace Terran users (Ryung does not count) All the SlayerS Ts were helping out MMA prepare for MVP. So yeah, IMHO, MMA deserved to win this

Oh boo hoo. 8-1. MVP is obviously not the de facto best TvT'er (and certainly not TvZer) in the world. Use your brains, of course MVP has a better winning ratio... he's been playing, in top form, for way longer.

MVP failed to adapt, which is not something I would expect from the world's best player, but it happens. But the outcome is in no way a joke. Much like I can't fault Polt for his early timings against MMA, and I don't fault MVP whenever he cheeses (which is more often than one would think, but people are comforted by the idea that he's proven that he can win in macro games so they seem to assume that it's more of a whimsical choice than a calculated decision that gives him the greatest chance of victory). MMA dissected him perfectly, and in a BoX, I don't think you can really blame a player for tailoring his strategy to the player and the map not, say, basing it on how he would play a random macro game. The games aren't quite interesting themselves, but the specifics of the strategy and the metagame can provide some food for thought- if MVP were able to read the situation better it would have likely turned out differently. MMA did what he had to win, and MVP couldn't. The 3-0 signifies that MVP wasn't able to anticipate MMA's preparation, because as the purportedly better player, MVP felt like he could safely play his own game and have MMA fall into his rhythm. It didn't work out that way. He should've had some contingencies for a situation like this. Battles aren't won on paper, it's not who should win but who made the most out of their opportunity. That said, from what I could see of MVP's play before it was derailed, he wasn't playing quite up to his usual level anyway, and I'd be hard-pressed to say he would've won definitively in macro games.

Game 1: Trade expo for your main/production facilities Game 2: "Let MMA in" to do a "double pronged attack" that came in too piecemeal Game 3: Not build a bunker up top

I'd have to see the game again, but since Siege Mode takes only 80 sec, I'm pretty sure he could have it in time. Going down without any bunker or Siege Mode was a risky move, and MMA happened to punish it.
