Actually I think most of them think they get a better chance of winning if cheesing than playing a standard game lately, and they do win. Sad but true. Terran cheese is so powerful because you can do what ever you want behind a wall off. If you proxy 2 racks you dont have to worry about it, just float it home. If I played terran Id probably do that too, a lot. But it is definitely not entertaining. My prediction for MMA vs DRG. game 1: MMA does a obnoxious double barracks proxy somewhere "hidden" that the slayers terrans have found. game 2: Bunker rush into siege tank marine push. game 3: standard play??? hopefully I've never seen DRG lose to a bunker rush / 2 rax so we'll see

Not bad decision making really, just poor execution. Game 1 he had siege tanks lined up but he thought they would be enough unbuffered but he as wrong. MMA was more prepared in his main because his second defense was in his main while MVP's was out on the map in front of MMA's main army.
Game 2 was just horrible execution. MVP's build should counter that.
Game 3 well, unlucky with the scan kind of, really greedy build going gasless expo into tech, really smart mind games from MMA to do another 1 base on shakuras of all maps, but MVP should have known what was up with MMA taking the towers so aggressively.

MMA played better, deal with it. Meh. TvT is more of a coin flip than most people think. There's just so much stuff that can be done which means there's so much stuff you need to counter. All MVP needed was a bunker. If you're going mech you badly need a bunker or you're just asking to die. He played too greedy, MMA capitalised. ^^
MMA played better. He won. That's obvious. But is he better at TvT overall than MvP? It's hard to tell
When you have two really good players duking it out you'll oftentimes see one or both of them take huge risks in order to secure an advantage because you generally aren't going to win against an even skilled opponent by playing it safe. Especially in the case of MvP vs MMA where both players are exceptionally good at TvT. When the skill lvl is relatively even, risks must be taken until one players risks pays off and allows them to win the game. MvP's risk of playing greedily obviously didn't pay off in that regard. That's where the coin flip aspect might have played a role.

Oh yes, and Slayers vs Mouz was played the day before it was casted.

Well this shows me how boring this type of game is. Don't get me wrong, it's a legitimate, smart, and tactical way to win and it's great. From a viewer's point of view, if you're not really rooting for anyone from the heart it's just sad though. When I watch MC do this thing I'm blinded by mad love so I can't really see that. All I see is that perfect micro and FFs, but if y ou're a neutral it's gotta be pretty bad hahaha.

All three games today involving MVP were basically his to lose. In the first game, if he had just defended his base instead of going for MMA's fourth, he would've gotten ahead. In the second game, if he had retreated into his base instead of to his natural, he would've won. And if he had actually gotten a bunker in the third game and waited a bit to float out his CC, he would've held pretty easily.
It's easy to see from a spectator/commentator point of view, but the end results of today's matches just showed that MMA came more prepared. The people who say he shouldn't have cheesed/all-ined are a bit silly. If you play to MVP's strengths, you will probably lose, so why not force him to play your game? MMA had some brilliant decision making and micro and showcased them to the full extent while denying MVP the chance to utilize his excellent macro.
tl;dr MMA was the superior player today and he took home a well deserved win.

Well, it's like jaedong vs. flash. 2 really good players, a lot of preparation, a lot of mind games and thought put into builds = bad games unfortunately. Neither one of them did a safe build today.

I really want a showmatch between the Blizzard Cup players before the final. Someone get Mr. Chae on the E-sports Phone.

Why do so many people make such ill informed statements... colMVP vs QIM was played two weeks ago, Slayers vs Mouz was played about 24 hours ago (the day before todays match).
People need to stop making excuses for MVP vs MMA, first it was jetlag, now it's he didn't have enough time to prepare. Having said that though, it's hard to say MVP isn't the better TvT player. Nadal beats Federer a whole lot (granted it's only really when they meet on clay), but everyone knows Federer's the better player. I don't think the gulf between MMA and MVP is THAT huge, but I would still say MVP is the better player. Just because MMA has the better head to head, doesn't make him a better player.

It was a pretty abrupt series, congrats to MMA but wish we had more of the matchup to see. Artosis predicted 3-1 MVP. If that had come true, I have sinking suspicion that he would be dropping phrases like 'crushing that nerds soul!' And being enthusiastic about it. It's no secret MVP and Nestea are his favorite players.

They should at least have a third place match. MVP did way too well this year to walk away with only equal third place. He should be allowed to beat MC to assert how dominant this year has been for him.

Still an accurate analogy even if it doesn't apply today, he just needs to clarify a little it's not totally misinformed.

The DRG/MMA games have been pretty ace so far. what? IMHappy isnt in the tournament? I guess you mean 2nd best TvZ for mma, right? Eurgh...I hate that guy so much... 15-2 in TvZ, 11 game win streak :D Still hate him. I discovered the reason while I hate him as well, but now I've forgotten. So it's back to irrational hatred What?! How could you? MiniVP is so awesome. <3
AHA! I think that was the reason why I hated him. He's so damn generic! That proxy he did on Daybreak was cool, but it reinforces my feelings. His differences in his play are really only in the cheese aspect, otherwise he's just so "standard Terran" that I hate him

DRG vs MMA finals. Can't complain though, these 2 are pretty damn good.
