People need to stop making excuses for MVP vs MMA, first it was jetlag, now it's he didn't have enough time to prepare. Having said that though, it's hard to say MVP isn't the better TvT player. Nadal beats Federer a whole lot (granted it's only really when they meet on clay), but everyone knows Federer's the better player. I don't think the gulf between MMA and MVP is THAT huge, but I would still say MVP is the better player. Just because MMA has the better head to head, doesn't make him a better player. Federer hasn't been the better player for about 3 years now... talk about misinformed posts... Still an accurate analogy even if it doesn't apply today, he just needs to clarify a little it's not totally misinformed.
Wait, is MMA Djoker then? Nestea and MVP playing Nadal and Federer?

Of course he's the better player. Who's this "people" you speak of?

Sorry I should have clarified it a bit as we're not talking about legacy over a long period of time, we're talking about current ability. This analogy would have been better if I used it 4 or 5 years ago. Hope you can still sort of see waht I'm saying though,

Holy macarena, MMA 3-0d mvp?

All I know is I'm rooting for DRG in the final. Would be nice to see a Zerg or Protoss win a GSL after such a long time.
|
Ooooh, MMA vs. DRG! Brings back to mind all those epic GSTL games they've had.
|
|
|
Rooting for MMA. Hes looking so good
|
DRG and MMA are 2 the best new school players. Both came out during GSTL with very impressive play, then MMA won MLG and GSL code S and overall was performing well beating people like Nestea regularly. DRG was a little bit under the radar but still had very good results at tournaments like MLG, placing very high. Both of them have very impressive and characteristic styles of play. It's a great match to close the 2011.
|
Not surprised here, MMA seems to be one of the only people who really has MVP's number.
And we get to see these two GSTL wonderkids go at it again. Go MMA :D

now we know , mvp's kryptonite si mma

Guys....
MVP is not perfect....
MMA played better today....
Whether u agree with me or not, that's fine, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
But the results of today do not lie.
MMA 3 - 0 MVP
Let's move on and look forward to a great finals with DRG vs MMA Mind you, being at the top = you can't improve as fast as all the underlings underneath you. Mvp's replays are all out there for people to study. MMA must've been like hmmmmm Mvp is really greedy early on" .... Let's do some early timings to screw him.
And also from what I've read of LR, Mvp made mistakes as well. He's not even FlaSH, so we are putting unrealistic expectations on Mvp. He's still the best SCII player for 2011, but he's not FlaSH and even FlaSH had his off days.
For anyone who wants to see FlaSH get cheesed in a T v T, Flash v Baby is a prime example. Cheese simply wrecked him.

Voodoo triangle consisting of polt, mma and mvp

Here come the MVP apologists, out of the wood work like moths to a flame!
That being said, I am not surprised in the least. MVP is very fatigued of late and it looks like his wrists have been bothering him a great deal of late. On top of that, MMA has had his number for quite a while. Looking forward to finals. Hopefully DRG can win and finally get a major title under his belt.

i jsut woke up and my eyes are lying to me... mvp lost 3-0?
