Star in NASL doesn't stand Starcraft. It's meant to mean League of Star players from North America

The HoN games aren't a "delay" - they are part of the official schedule; they had a regular season, just like the SC2 had a regular season. HoN is a part of the NASL. Even though it has the word "star" in it! I KNOW IT'S CRAZY RIGHT!!?!?!?! Seriously..
Would you care to actually read the post? Because there is only one stream for the HoN games to be played on, they do delay the start of SC2. If there were 2 streams, HoN could be played alongside SC2. At the very least, it would make the schedule more flexible.
I also didn't suggest that HoN shouldn't be apart of the NASL. I'm just saying that it's frustrating having SC, the focus of a starleague, played at hours that are so difficult for so many people and it is an issue that should be taken care of for next season...by having 2 streams.

it's not late. It's in PST. You know like how Blizzard does Patches & Maintenance on PST. Follow the logic bread crumbs.........
California = PST NASL = California therefore is is reasonable to determine NASL operates on PST time not EST or any other timezone, timeline, or parallel dimension.

Nice , I went to sleep and came back thinking that I had missed everything then I had this awesome surprise :D.

Is HoN gonna survive when Blizz dota and dota2 come out? isn't it smaller than LoL already? Its already pretty much dead considering that both LoL and Dota1 have much larger playerbases (HoN has 50k at a time while LoL and Dota have several millions at a time). Therefore i dont even understand why NASL picked up HoN as their "dota" game instead of LoL or even Dota1 or 2. It was a sponsored title, Dota1 has a small player base in comparison in the west and HoN is going up and up in terms of players :-/ don't just assume things mmkay Im not assuming things. Dota1 has over 15 million players just in the west, with US definitely having the least players. China on its own has that amount of Dota players aswell. These numbers come from Icefrog himself (1 year old numbers). How is HoN going up in players? Back in the beta it had 100k peak (i know because i was playing). After it went retail it dropped to like 20k. After it went f2p it went up to 50k. For the last few weeks it was dropping to like 40k again. Dont just assume things yourself. There is absolutely no way Dota1 has 15 million ACTIVE players in the west. LoL is way, way bigger and it doesn't even have that many accounts if I recall correctly. The download count on the map version says otherwise. It probably has even more than 15 million western players considering that not everyone downloads from the official website. MLG (anahiem I want to say?) had 22.5 million stream views. Therefore, it had 22.5 million individual viewers? Consider smurf accounts, reinstalls, multiple PCs, etc etc.
MLG having 22.5 million stream views makes alot of sense because many people do have to restart the stream like after every ad (i have to aswell). Thats like a 100x multiplicator for me and everyone else that has the same problem and im not even counting the countless switching between streams.
Downloading a map version more than once in the other hand, especially in the first couple days, makes absolutely no sense. The smurf account argumentation doesnt make any sense because you dont download the map version twice for each account. I have never downloaded a map version more than once because that just doesnt make any sense, sorry brother.
But if you want to go to the what ifs then ill tell you this. Consider the chinese that do NOT download from the official website, because they have their own chinese dota hub website. Actually consider everyone that doesnt download from the official website. Consider the countless pc bangs that do not keep the version up to date at all and only have to download the version once anyways. There is plenty of stuff to consider that actually increases the amount of players but not that many that decreases it.
There are countries in which you can enter a pc bang and see everyone play dota on every single pc. The phillipines, turkey, china, russia, i could go on but i think i made my point.

Why don't tournaments do official restreams to match the timezones? Would have loved to catch the games today and almost missed the whole tournament, doing this would really increase viewership and revenue?

Can someone who does actually watch the finals report back on the peak viewer count they see? Most I saw during the RO8 games was Puma vs Idra and it peaked at about 47k stream viewers I think. Didn't watch the all of the semi finals because I went to bed instead, so I don't know if they were higher, but I remember seeing about 42k during the first semi final I think.
I would be surprised if they manage to break 50k during the finals.

Somehow the fact that there are no games now plus the day9 daily being played before the sc2 finals makes me think the timeslot for the SC2 finals is deliberate and not resultant.
But it's ok to be EU

I was kinda disappointed by Sen, figured he would put up more of a fight against Hero. Then again, Hero is insane. Was hoping for a Huk vs Idra grand finals, but kinda figured Hero vs Puma would be the one actually happening. Which is far from a bad match-up. Too bad I won't be able to watch it live, as it's so late it stops being night and starts being morning when it airs.

I think NASL should have side show matches like ASUS ROG. That was really fun and its also kill downtime. ~_~

Aww yeah, Hero v Sen analysis? So tasty :3

Since season one it was only starcraft. Not to mention OSL,MSL,GSL, all have "starleague" and it is meant for starcraft.
