there are more playoffs to get into the playoffs than the playoffs themselves I think.

Xzibit would approve. NASL playoffs may be longer than Baseketball's playoff season.

It'll be exciting to see which event ends first.. the playoffs to get into the playoffs, or the character selection before any game of HoN..
|
A certain individual will take this playoff spot.
His name is qxc. You've probably heard of him.
|
Sheth or Nightend please.
|
|
How long ago were these series played?
|
Nightend has been stepping it up lately, hm
|
Still playing on Antiga Shipyard with golds in the center? That is disappointing to say the least
|
nasl not getting much love...

Damn I want both Sheth and Sjow to win. go Sheth I guess.
|
lol Sjow showing he's a strong terran
|
I know everyone says ultras are bad, but with that many lings and the full armor, they could just rape sjow if sheth engages well.
|
Sheth running circles around Sjow on this map.

Gretorp --->FALSE: Roaches only survive the radiation from the nuke not the explosion.

Oh my god this series is so long wow
SHETH JUST KILL HIM

The finals will, I think the last finals had 20-30k viewers?

I think at its peak during Puma vs. MC, it broke 80k viewers. Remains to be seen if they can get those numbers again, although if say Idra played Huk in the final match or something, maybe?

I want both sheth and nightend to advance after watching their play and their interviews at DH
|
Is the sound out of sync for anyone else?

Well, the simplest reason would be this: SC2 fanatics already gassed out watching Dreamhack Winter--epic series that culminated with an amazing final match. That, in itself, was a shit-ton of SC2 to watch today; I'm not sure how many people are still down to watch more.

I haven't watched any of the regular season up til now, I just check the LR thread or Liquipedia for results because the season is long, so the games don't feel very dramatic, and there aren't that many players I'm interested in at the moment. For the finals though, I definitely plan to catch whatever I can, only players left are all solid and the brackets look good -- Hero and Huk on one side with Puma and Idra on the other, so a Hero/Puma or Huk/Idra finals is possible :-p Should be pretty interesting, I wouldn't take the regular season viewership as an indication of overall interest. We'll see how many people tune in, though -- during DH finals the highest I saw on the stream was about 73k.

My problem with NASL, the real problem of NASL imo, is the lack of Koreans. They bring so much competitiveness to any tournament they are in, that it's really bad that they aren't present. Will still watch the finals most likely, but without koreans it just isnt as interesting.

And whose fault is that...

Just because its not their fault doesn't mean spectatorship level and quality of games of the tournament doesn't go down.

Well the competin players are fine. It's just that the regular season is boring to watch. Boring casters and 4 week old games just don't make it entertaining. Finals will be great though since they're live and have some top casters.

will the free streams be of better quality during the finals?

Yet TotalBiscuit can host a EU-only tourney and get 30k viewers? what about the Na and EU bnet invitationals that got around the same?
NASL has Puma and Hero anyway.
People are just hating on NASL because of the long season and don't bother to consider that they could just watch the final 16.

Is HerO/PuMa or HuK/IdrA end up being finals, I can see the stream breaking at least 50 K.
