Why would anyone with a brain go into a stream chat with more than a thousand people in it?

Comebacks can happen really quickly, as you see now :p Can he get 9 frags in 2 and a half minutes? actually comebacks are possible it only depends on the map. On aggressive ones u can get 10 frags in a blink of an eye i remember several from cooller IEM matches... I see, so it seems like quake can be a game of momentum, or am I off base on that assumption?
yeah, this one as well. But as a person who was only hooked by Broodwar i was amazed by the intensity of QL when i first saw it.
So much skill is required this game as well :O

That's why you never open the stream chat

I have never seen this game before, looks pretty interesting and skillbased.

quake live is so fuckin exciting !

I really wish Id would do an Id tech 5 update of Quake that kept a really simple, clean aesthetic, but looked better than this muddled mess. It's really fun as a spectator sport, it's just sad that it looks this bad

Also there are no timers in game its only for spectators so they have to calculate when they took the item up to know when it will spawn again. Its easily the best FPS of all time imo

I think its 100 HP

Hero is the new Bisu and I'm not even exaggerating. The multitask, the understanding of how to get the most out of every one of his units, the use of stargate/dt to gain map control and then the expert exploitation of that map control. Its beautiful to watch. I like MC a lot for his personality and for being the first Toss to really dominate, but I really hope the future of Toss play lies in Hero-esque multitask/macro rather than MC-style timing attacks. Ret's inability to do anything but play greedy as fuck and do some kind of 3 base hatch-tech max supply timing attack was glaringly exposed this series, which is good because I fucking hate that style.

It's actually better looking then this, it's just that pro's turn down all the settings to get smooth 125 fps and no distractions.

Heh, fair enough. Lesson learned for sure.

Quake seems to be the broodwar of fps games. So intense and exciting, despite being so old.

The worst aspects of humanity are frequently on display in chat rooms, best left ignored, I think.
Last n00b Quake question from me, is it strictly the match wins that count towards who wins the set, do the number of kills not come in to it at all?

While fancy looks is good for audiences, the players want as few distractions as possible when they play.

I think they have all the graphics turned down to lowest for max fps and to see better. Seems spectators would have max details though but who knows.
