Wow @ the Dreamhack schedule -- seriously, all of these casters are going to have to be casting for 14 hours today, with hardly any long breaks. I hope they got enough sleep.

SC2 is finally getting exciting with real progamers facing off against each other at the highest levels of competition. Players like Goody need to improve or just die off, there is no room for mediocrity in SC2 anymore. After seeing Idra vs Nestea at MLG i actually wondered if SC2 should even be an E-Sport. Both players played a BO (with mistakes) until one guy overcomitted on his BO-Advantage and then lost. If progamers are doing shit like this, they should not be progamers (and most likely would not be in SC/BW, at least they would not be on TV for more than 1-2 games ).. Naniwa vs Nestea wasn't much better... One game was decided by Nestea playing blind and the final game just stupid.. There is tons of room in SC2 for mediocrity. The very best players often show TERRIBLE decisions. Goodys playstile/gameplan seems to exploit exactly that: Set defense up --> Let stupid opponent charge head on into it --> Counter --> Profit. I agree, there is tons of room for improvement. Two years from now the games people are playing now will look silly. But really? Guys like Goody have proven nothing compared to the top level progamers. They exist at the fringe of real competition and rely on terrible builds. If he doesn't improve the game will leave him behind, and seeing him have this level of success a year into SC2 is really frustrating to me, especially when his games are being casted by the best of the best for our entertainment. Agreed. Players like whitera are able to do well right now due to their decision making and RTS sense. When the general mechanics + game strategic level increase, its hard to see whitera doing well due to his pretty poor mechanics relative to pro level. But at least he has great builds and great control to catch his opponents off guard. That type of play will always be effective, just look at Boxer. Doing the same build every single game and sitting in your base is almost a guarantee that you'll have a shortlived career in starcraft progaming.

You seem really critical of Goody for some reasons, probably because of his turtle games vs Mana. That is in no way a good representation of what Goody is capable of, but just how terrible meching is v Protoss that leads to passive games. Goody TvT and TvZ are a lot better and he relies a lot more on game sense than mechanics to win games.
You think its frustrating how Goody have so much success and I think how amazing it is for him to pull off those success despite his weaker mechanics and rely more on critical thinking. In a way, he is a lot easier for me to relate to than other pro gamers, and he receives a lot more flak than he deserves.

MMA knows that at 200 food, Bio is weaker. But you can transition into Viking + BC faster. That's how he was punishing MVP.

White-Ra did well in Broodwar, so no, he won't fall off, only if the skill everywhere raises to Korean standards. Not to forget White-Ras infinite experience, offline tournament white-ra is like a 90% complete different white-ra than online.

Every korean knows they need to go bio/bio mech a few games. There's a lot of people who go bio only, but there's no one I can think of that only goes mech.

Both forgetting to macro again. Thorzain really needs to break that contain. He should have done it when there was only 1 tank that could be easily picked off.
