Anaheim was a blast with the crowd as excited as they were . . . providence fans, for the most part, seem knocked out on cold medicine or something. Right now I have the flu. A runny nose, a headache, shivers, a sore throat and am tired from watching a whole day of starcraft... But I'll tell you this, I'm gonna pick my buddies up tomorrow even with all that, head over to Calgary Barcraft and fucking clap my hands off and cheer as loud as I can because I fucking love this game. If we had MLG Vancouver I'd get a massive roadtrip of Calgarians heading over there. These Rhode Island spectators really need to step up their game.
Amen brother, too bad there aren't more like you at Providence it seems.

Switched over half way through the 3rd game on shakuras. Instant fan. I haven't seen someone drop so much since MMA won at MLG

Tunneling claws and burrow is an awful huge investment to prevent a strategy that the protoss can do almost whenever he wants after a warp prism is out. Especially when the protoss can just fly away and lose nothing if he chooses. My thoughts are that 6ish roachs at the top of the ramp + 1 spore at ramp + 2 queens in main would stop this cold. (rest of the roachs at nat/3rd). If you drop sentries into roachs they will only be able to get 1 ff off, and you still have roachs in main to defend. 2 queens in main + the spore are enough to prevent the pheo/voids from killing the roachs. What MC was doing was also an all in, as he had no way of securing his third vs 3 base mass roach after investing that much into tech. All in? Do you know what an all in is?
It is all in because if the attack failed, he would have had a hard time winning. That map has a VERY hard to take third PvZ and against a zerg already on 3 bases, investing that much into tech that early would have made an already very hard to take third impossible to secure, ending up as a droned up 3 base zerg vs a 2 base toss.
Pretty much it was all in because he would have been far behind if it didn't work, as his stargate play did minimal damage.

This is just awesome! You do realize MC did the "thumbs down" to idra @ Columbus right? And yet, MC is more personable and doesn't seem like as much as a raging asshole. Hm. What raging asshole? You honestly think Naniwa did that b/c he was a raging asshole? lmao ofc he did not do that coz he was a raging asshole. he did that coz he has no respect and thinks he's funny but he's just a kid playing games and doing well he is immature²³ -> need some proof!?

Exactly. Idra's just so over the top that it's kind of charming, and with MC it's all a pretty cool act and a well designed image. Naniwa is neither - just sometimes acts like a dick.

Grubby, too.
Idra has charm that grows on you. He is fun to cheer for once you realize the internal battle he has with himself. Plus, when you hear the stories about the broodwar days and some of the BS he dealt with, it makes you cheer more.

I hear immortals, voidrays, and sentries do well versus roaches. Though I am curious how much probe production was cut.

If the attack failed he flies away and is on two base with a ton of tech. If that's all in then so is every build.

I have to say, this Force Field Ramp strategy by Protoss reminds me of the Blue Flame Hellion build a couple MLG's back. Seems like the other races/pro's just aren't prepared for them.
I wonder if there's some kind of conspiracy by the different SC2 races to pop up surprising strategies at key tournaments.
Either way, nice to see Protoss doing well, as I never liked to see one race or another down-and-out for too long.

Thinks he deserves stuff when he doesn't, won't own up to his own mistakes, disses things when it was his fault, and then just acts superior and like a dick for no reason. So sorta like a spoiled brat. If he could get rid of that I'd like him but it's hard to like a childish person.
I like his play, don't like his personality.

Does anyone else also feel that this MLG is less exciting (relatively) than you thought it would? Don't be mistaken, it is still good, it's just I thought it would be SOOO much better seeing as it is the "finaly" sort of thing with so many good players, but so far none of the games really boiled my blood so far like the other MLGs have.

The prism drop has been seen before in GSL and other tourneys though, the slayers BFH build just like, popped out and wrecked everyone

MLG seeded system only allows very few people to make it through open bracket. So having 40 koreans or 10 koreans participating don't make a dime difference, only few gets through anyway
