Has there been similar complaints here? Haven't been following the LR too closely. This thread got closed after that match. But Naniwa somewhat deserves it here though, he acted really immature there. (not just the "ceremony") Calling MLG a "fucking joke" was going a bit too far, but if I was versing NesTea in a deciding match, after confirming with an admin, and then finding out that the map was completely different to what I thought? I'd be pretty pissed, and so would you. If IdrA was in that position, we all know there would have been a shitstorm that would rival the tornado that hit last MLG. Considering Naniwa's past, a single line of text and then immediate acceptance is a pretty large step forward. I agree that everyone would be mad, but as a represent of one of the biggest and oldest teams in the e-sport scene, you simply don't act so unprofessionally. Yeah. But MLG should give him a warning or a technical or whatever and then make his managers talk to him about his behavior. I agree that he should have been penalized in some way and given a stern warning. People complaining about it and calling him BM and stuff and discrediting his win and saying he doesn't deserve it or whatever is silly really. He was given a technical, which means when he plays HuK tmw if he loses game 1 HuK gets to choose the second map as well iirc and then a second tech costs him a game or something Actually, 3 technicals cost a game, and It would be rather hard to acquire that many.. although if there would be a person to do it, it would be Naniwa.
I completely agree with this, lol

Look, TL always had a bit of a Zerg bias, so whenever a zerg loses you kinda tiptoe around the place a bit and try to look away ;D just a tip to have more of a happy happy time here ;D
(it's similar in BW to tell you because your sig would make me think you would come to the greener side of TL ;p)
Amen brother, also go SKT1!

I think Naniwa acts like an asshole in general, so when he does BM, even if it is minor (like a thumbs down) it reflects more poorly on his character than it would with someone who seems like a nicer chap. Durr.

I would like HuK not to PvP his way to an MLG win. I just want to see more of his awesomeness versus T and Z too. Maybe vs DRG and then vs MVP or Bomber or MKP or something. Him being top seed means that he doesn't play much, I'm a bit sad as a fan

Has there been similar complaints here? Haven't been following the LR too closely. Apparently NanIwa hosted the wrong map and blamed the admins for it and called the tournament a joke, delaying the broadcast. NanIwa comes off as a arrogant, bitter person to alot of people ( me included ) because of the childish way he acts. He's very good but if he want's to be respected by most, he needs to grow up, it's not really just this one thing but the way his attitude in general. I'm pretty sure that the admins are the ones who host the maps. They told Naniwa that it's cross spawn only. Naturally, Naniwa was pissed that he scouted the wrong way. Sundance posted on Reddit that NanIwa hosted the map, not the admin and proceeded to blame it on the Ref;.. so I'm assuming he's correct. His username was Sundanced right? just making sure

Also roach tunnelling claws, IdrA would of held that even without the spore. Tunneling claws and burrow is an awful huge investment to prevent a strategy that the protoss can do almost whenever he wants after a warp prism is out. Especially when the protoss can just fly away and lose nothing if he chooses. My thoughts are that 6ish roachs at the top of the ramp + 1 spore at ramp + 2 queens in main would stop this cold. (rest of the roachs at nat/3rd). If you drop sentries into roachs they will only be able to get 1 ff off, and you still have roachs in main to defend. 2 queens in main + the spore are enough to prevent the pheo/voids from killing the roachs. What MC was doing was also an all in, as he had no way of securing his third vs 3 base mass roach after investing that much into tech. All in? Do you know what an all in is?

So yeah he had no right to complain at all, just classic naniwa. oh wow yeah he just is. just wow. no words. Naniwa historically has bad character when he really needs to be professional. Remember the NASL? I'm not gonna BM him, but he really needs to think about his actions. You can't just BM the tournament organization you're playing in on the MAIN STAGE. I'm surrpised they didn't fine him or penalize him because that would happen in ANY other sports league. Be grateful that you get to play in the tournament and they're giving you prize money. Anyways, this type of behavior has come up in the past quite often, and it was a big deal when he was joining dignitas and starting his sc2 career, but now it seems like he's been slacking and not paying attention. He BM-ed NASL after he withdrew from it. And also it wasn't BM. He was just criticizing the fact that they had to play on the laggy NA server at very tight schedule. So I don't know how you can really call that unprofessional or anything (compared to some of the other withdrawals which have happened in NASL - *cough*Fenix/Painuser*cough*).
The last BM thing of note he did was not gg-ing during his GSL game. But other than that he has been relatively well mannered, compared to his old days.
EDIT: Having said that his actions today against MLG was inexcusable.

But I'll tell you this, I'm gonna pick my buddies up tomorrow even with all that, head over to Calgary Barcraft and fucking clap my hands off and cheer as loud as I can because I fucking love this game. If we had MLG Vancouver I'd get a massive roadtrip of Calgarians heading over there.
These Rhode Island spectators really need to step up their game.
