Has there been similar complaints here? Haven't been following the LR too closely. This thread got closed after that match. But Naniwa somewhat deserves it here though, he acted really immature there. (not just the "ceremony") Calling MLG a "fucking joke" was going a bit too far, but if I was versing NesTea in a deciding match, after confirming with an admin, and then finding out that the map was completely different to what I thought? I'd be pretty pissed, and so would you. If IdrA was in that position, we all know there would have been a shitstorm that would rival the tornado that hit last MLG. Considering Naniwa's past, a single line of text and then immediate acceptance is a pretty large step forward. I agree that everyone would be mad, but as a represent of one of the biggest and oldest teams in the e-sport scene, you simply don't act so unprofessionally. Yeah. But MLG should give him a warning or a technical or whatever and then make his managers talk to him about his behavior. I agree that he should have been penalized in some way and given a stern warning. People complaining about it and calling him BM and stuff and discrediting his win and saying he doesn't deserve it or whatever is silly really. He was given a technical, which means when he plays HuK tmw if he loses game 1 HuK gets to choose the second map as well iirc and then a second tech costs him a game or something

This has been such a sweet day of Starcraft. :D Too bad the MLG player hates me (it's mutual) and that one part of the community is as it is. It's really tiring. But yeah, awesome competition.

So yeah he had no right to complain at all, just classic naniwa. oh wow yeah he just is. just wow. no words.
It is BS that every tournament has its own version of each map and doesn't inform the player where the spawns are. Its not like they couldn't do it, on the screen, during the loading of the game. You know, that time when nothing is happening.
That being said, Naniwa,\ needs to take a chill pill. But that will come with time.

I've seen some zergs do it on stream before and I'm pretty sure its intended to stop the ramp forcefield tactics. ding ding ding! Also roach tunnelling claws, IdrA would of held that even without the spore. Tunneling claws and burrow is an awful huge investment to prevent a strategy that the protoss can do almost whenever he wants after a warp prism is out. Especially when the protoss can just fly away and lose nothing if he chooses. My thoughts are that 6ish roachs at the top of the ramp + 1 spore at ramp + 2 queens in main would stop this cold. (rest of the roachs at nat/3rd). If you drop sentries into roachs they will only be able to get 1 ff off, and you still have roachs in main to defend. 2 queens in main + the spore are enough to prevent the pheo/voids from killing the roachs. What MC was doing was also an all in, as he had no way of securing his third vs 3 base mass roach after investing that much into tech.
I think zergs are going to need to make all their tech at their natural except for the pool also, maybe there's hope for some kind of strong counter attack.

Actually, 3 technicals cost a game, and It would be rather hard to acquire that many.. although if there would be a person to do it, it would be Naniwa.

Sounds very odd if the player hosts the map. I would imagine that MLG would be more professional than that

Are you sure that you want to have an overloard spread vs phoenixes and voidrays?
You need to leave 5-6 roaches in the main cause that's the amount you need to 1 shot sentries. I can't rly see a way for Z to properly deal with it. The thing is that the Z anti-air is very limited in the early game so there's no risk by going for this warp prism play. They can just fly away if they feel like it might fail.

So yeah he had no right to complain at all, just classic naniwa. oh wow yeah he just is. just wow. no words. Naniwa historically has bad character when he really needs to be professional. Remember the NASL? I'm not gonna BM him, but he really needs to think about his actions. You can't just BM the tournament organization you're playing in on the MAIN STAGE. I'm surrpised they didn't fine him or penalize him because that would happen in ANY other sports league. Be grateful that you get to play in the tournament and they're giving you prize money.
Anyways, this type of behavior has come up in the past quite often, and it was a big deal when he was joining dignitas and starting his sc2 career, but now it seems like he's been slacking and not paying attention.
