Eh, it was pretty much over. 4 (or 5?) bases against 2-3 of Naniwas. Lots of broodlords out, mutalisks still alive etc. Might as well just GG and get to the next game.

it doesn't matter... broodlord/hydra/infestor/corruptor trashes that, and Lucky didn't even have upgrades... lol

this is so sad.. perfect protoss play against zerg still not enough..

Mutas against stalker + voidray + archon wouldn't have mattered, when he flooded gateways he should have made 2 instead of the like 6 he made and made 3-4 stargates

ToD, please tell me you went into the booth and had a chat with Naniwa before he started. Any support would help imo

it all came from mutas imo map control allowed for that to happen

For people who don't get it, Lucky was stuffing his army full of mineral/gas by making banes from zlings, and morphing BLs. Naniwa needed to do the same but by using higher tech units. By staying on Stalkers his army was worth a lot less than lucky's and also was a lot weaker. He did everything right that game EXCEPT pump his army full of resources to make a scary lategame army.

It's pretty much impossible to win in tht position becuz of the amount of spines Lucky had. Naniwa couldn't deny any economy and Lucky's army was so cost-efficient.
I think Naniwa quit then because he was 3 base with his 3rd running out and his 4th destroyed while Lucky had 5 bases, all protected. Was just a matter of time.

How do you take on mass BL/muta/bane like that? ........vortex? can't think of anything else, maybe perfect storms but if the zerg is good you wont get those off with BL's targeting the HT's.

Naniwa let Lucky engage him in a highly favorable position in a more open field he could have crushed that army.

these next two maps are going to be a bitch for Nani ._.

K Game 2: on Crossfire Top Right: Lucky Bottom Left: Naniwa

Seeing all the mass spine crawler play these days makes me laugh at the early days when zergs insisted they couldn't afford it.

That's a harsh unit comp by Lucky. Try to blink into broodlords? Get owned by banelings. Try to run away? Get fungald.
