incontrol, sen, moonglade
|
sen vs trelok is the main event
|
So I think today what's on the line is:
If Sen wins he will get into the finals while Strelok is just playing for seeding in the finals
I think both Incontrol and Inka have already been eliminated. I guess they are still trying to prove themselves as serious contenders in the publics eye.
NIghtend and Moonglade are just playing for seeding in the playoffs
Right?
|
Inka (1-5) vs Incontrol (0-6)
Clash of the Titans- There's a lot at stake.

Inka could still save himself. Incontrol can get into some wacky tie with Moman, TLO and Tyler.

or you know, geoff could just be trying to be a good sports and finish out the season and get a W. It's pretty bad manner imo to just skip out on your last matches just because you've been eliminated from the finals. NASL still gives most players eliminated from the finals a chance for the playoffs, and even then a chance to keep their spot in the league, correct? I'm just happy none of today's games are forfeited or walkovers
|
Sen vs Strelok should be a good series. Hope INcontrole gives iNKa a run for the money!

NASL uses map score first. If Sen loses, Ret advances.

Why wouldn't you watch anymore NASL? This is the second last day of the group stage so it's not much of a statement anyways. Plus Sen wouldn't be out even if he lost, he would just go to the playoffs where he would be a favorite to move forward.
I don't understand how Inka can not be out. When I look at the Liquidpedia page there are 3 people eliminated and 8 undetermined. My understanding is 10 people get dropped so only 1 person from those 8 will move on. However the best Inka can do is 2-5(4-10) which can't beat Lowely 2-5(5-10). The way I understand it Sjow 2-4 (7-10) goes to the playoffs and the other seven undetermined are out.
Oh, maybe Inka is playing to stay in the league for next season? How do they determine who gets invited back for next season? http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/North_American_Star_League_Season_2

7 people get dropped out. The total is increased to 45 for next season.

Ahh thanks Dex. Do you know if Sjow has confirmed the last spot in the playoffs? His record of 2-4 (7-10) means he will have a better win/loss record than anyone else with 2 wins. I considered updating liquidpedia but I don't feel I have a solid understanding of how the system works.

Sjow's at 3-4 now because he beat Softball last night, so yes he is in the playoffs. When I open the page it's updated, maybe you have to refresh for some reason?

It depends if Sen loses 0-2 or 1-2 if 1-2 Sen advances afaik cause he won his match vs Ret and map scores would be 11-6 for both players.

Sen is 10-5 right now. If he loses, his map score drops below Ret's.

wow that attack was painful incontrol :[
wouldve helped a lot if he'd moved the zealots up the left ramp and engaged on two sides. the immortals getting trapped kind of killed it though. oh well.

He lost 2 games to Select, one to Moonglade, one to Nightend and one to Ret.
Edit: Also, Inka can't get into the playoffs, dunno what they're talking about. All 20 players are set already, just waiting to see if its Puma/Dimaga and Sen/Ret in there. Vibe gets the last spot, Inka can't catch him.
|
Well, some cute play from incontrol, just that wont win games.
|
incontrol horrible decision making cost him the game
|
Agreed, mass VR's would have been a getting gamble....
|
the whole point of the ninja expos is to sac the expo and counterattack if he hits it, right? incontrol needed to counter and deal some serious damage when inka attacked his 6 o'clock.
otherwise the expansion locations just work against him.

Why did Strelok not pressure at all? You can't let a top-level zerg do whatever he wants. -_-
|
sen takes game one. i think he's now guarateed a spot, he can't do worse than Ret in terms of record and points
|
Nice idea by Strelok the quick 3rd but Sen played to it, macroing and harassing like a boss!
|
MMM vs Zerg not that common... Interesting.

If your 3rd game in the series was your potential showing through, I'm excited to see this come true. That was very solid play in an odd situation.

Strelok has totally given up on the game no more SCV production in quite a while...
|

I don't think Strelok split his marines once in that series.
|
wooo go sen! finishes top! no surprise his only series loss is to a terran really hope he improves his ZvT
|
notice to all zerg players:
if you end up playing against strelok, just never engage his army. If you give him enough time, he'll unsiege all of his tanks and group all his marines in one ball.
|
Strelok... OMG. Just... ow.
|
Sen is too good! more good work on the ZvT please!
|
Nightend is already in the playoffs... C'mon NASL.
|
I have very high hope for sen this NASL... maybe this will be his big tournament win
|
really, 2 stargates are so much better than 1 at FFE versus zerg. 1 only lowers your eco/tech and doesnt deal enough damage.

My theory for this series:
Moonglade was lost on a trip to Antarctica in January and scientists just released him from the block of ice he was trapped within.

Ah! Strelok played already?
NASL is so disorganized. I wasn't interested in the other matches, but wanted to watch Sen vs Strelok. It was listed third in their schedule...but apparently was played 2nd? I tuned in at a time that made sense according to their schedule.
They're not even casting live, all they have to do is @#$ broadcast the matches in the order they put them on the schedule...but they can't even do that.
NASL disappoints me again and again. Such poor production values.

Nightend was hella sloppy himself (not) dealing with those burrowed roaches. Moonglade's problem is not taking expansions.

DAMN ! that dampeer was sick , I gotta start using him in the game

On liquipedia it says that fenix has been disqualified from the league. Why is that? I did not have time to watch NASL much the last few weeks, i mostly just looked at the results and just now saw that fenix is out. What happened? i remember him saying that the lag is incredible and that he does not like playing NASL much but thats all.

He stopped playing, so NASL took his spot away.

I think Fenix actually decided to play again, but didn't show up for a series or two, so they fully disqualified him from S2 and future seasons, if any.
