NOT EVEN CLOSE every GSL finals is the worst, MLG finals are always going to be bad as long as extended series lives.
watching from the stream perspective things were much better with the downtime between matches greatly reduced. also i think this mlg may have the largest amount of competive matches very few blowouts with even a player like drewbie beating mkp (pool winner). the only complaint i would have is if mlg wants to keep the open bracket format the same they need to do a better job spreading out the the top players whitra stepaeno and thestc were all pushed to close together when really one of them would have easily taken ddoro's spot but i guess that is something easier said then done.
soo when are we gonna start looking at the facts. 5 major tournaments (GSL, MLG, IEM NY, IEM China, and IPL) the finalist consist of 5 Zergs 3 Protoss and 2 Terran. Clearly terran is the weakest race, the 5 additional seconds added to the barracks build time was too heavy of a nerf. Terran needs some buffs

People always underestimate Huk because he is a foreigner. But Huk is one of the best players inn the world.

the top results by team are interesting - Prime/ex-Prime having good results with MKP and Hongun top 8, Polt not far behind oGs also quite impressive, winning the Code S spot and 2 in the top 3
But the terrible trio of EG really pulled out the stops and did amazing - taking first place and all 3 in the top 8
Boxer not quite managing to repeat his past performance, but still doing pretty well given the competition
Besides Hero, Liquid doing much better in pools than last time around, especially Ret and Haypro - but still unable to bring the fire in the championship bracket like Hero did in raleigh
Yeah, what happened with Hero? I don't think I saw any of his games.
I believe you are not wrong, thank god. Gonna be glad to see him back, and judging by the play he showed and the people he beat, he definitely deserves to be there again.

MC went out first in that Team League match, which is why he wasn't available. (This also happened the week before his massive slump started)

Since when was $5k slave money?
slaves dont get money....
yeh, they just get beaten and raped
I pretty sure HuK's salary justifies the win... HuK is the highest paid foreigner in SC2. And for a good reason.
Do we know for sure he is the highest paid? I thought they didn't release the numbers...
not for certain but its known he is paid very very well, the rumours generally suggest around 90k a year. sen is also rumoured to get something quite similar. they're only rumours of course but its what i've heard at least

Nothing... only non followers consider Huk a "Foreigner"
Anyone who trains in Korea under that atmosphere is considered a "Korean" player.
See this makes no sense. The reason that koreans are so good is because they train so hard. If a foreigner moves to korea to become as good as them, why does he suddenly become a korean? If that's true, then koreans will ALWAYS be on top, because everybody will just call the best foreigners korean, regardless of where they practice, just because they adopt the korean method of training.
True. The whole "discussion" is stupid but you can't jsut make people korean at a whim.
Also HuK is soo short next to plott brothers and co.
The discussion, as it were, is a silly argument over semantics, which only occurs because people are not willing to look at what's really being discussed.
What we learned from this tournament is -
1. "Korean" (ie dedicated, full-time) training is what makes the difference between Koreans and foreigners.
it's not. stephano plays just euro ladder for some hours a day and can beat almost everybody. and tbh, just playing in korea won't make u superstar, there is more to it. look at jinro for example.
