The caliber of players Huk beat is by far the most impressive foreigner vs Korean run ever. PvP may be horribly unentertaining, but it's still a skill.

well goddamn
IdrA makes it up to the top 4, MC is back in code S and Huk tops it all off talk about on hell of an MLG, that was great!

HuK is the highest paid foreigner in SC2. And for a good reason. Do we know for sure he is the highest paid? I thought they didn't release the numbers... Huk is the highest paid SC2 player. While no one has "official" numbers, enough word gets around about the actual values that's it's safe to say he's the *highest paid*. MC and NesTea have *made* far more money, however, from prizes.
Keep in mind though that even $20k would put one up very high on the salary listing.

Debatable.
MLG had more Koreans (though IPL also had a high number).
MLG had Bomber, but IPL had MMA.
The highest finishing Korean Terran in MLG, STC, was also in IPL.
The only thing IPL was missing was MC, but it had Inori, and it had Alive, and it had a couple of Korean Zergs which MLG did not.
It didn't have MKP and Polt, though.

Boxer not quite managing to repeat his past performance, but still doing pretty well given the competition
Besides Hero, Liquid doing much better in pools than last time around, especially Ret and Haypro - but still unable to bring the fire in the championship bracket like Hero did in raleigh Yeah, what happened with Hero? I don't think I saw any of his games.
Top 16, taken out by HongUn. Which is actually still a solid showing, but not as hot as last go around.

I don't see why people is complaining about price money, it's 5k for 3 days. In GSL Code A, it's 5k for an entire month...

MKP, Polt, and July tip the scales in MLGs favor IMO.

Since he's turned down a bunch from MLGs already (and given his time in Code S), I'm sure they'll give him one. With the GSL structure, he could theoritically still gain a Code S spot from Nationals. He's going in as the Top seed, which probably means he'll get the worst bracket to deal with, lol.
in my opinion he should have to work his way up through the qualifiers because he gave up his spot before. with so many players fighting just to get into code A giving spots to idra, sjow, rain or sheth who gave up spots does not seem fair. if i was GOMTV i would make any player who had a GSL seed and gave it up unable to receive seeds at a later date.

Omg Huk winning is the mega cherry on top of the regular cherry on top of the sundae of awesomeness that is MLG!!
I am EXCITED for Providence! MLG Just gets better and better! :D

He had a nasty pool of PvP death with Huk and MC combined with a nasty PvZ with July. He lost 2-0 in PvP to MC, then eaked out a narrow victory over Huk 2-1 with Huk losing two arguably won games. He lost to July, and so his pool got screwed.

Ugh, I forgot about that He had a fairly lackluster run in IPL, that's probably why.
